How to unlock the Power Surge achievement in Remnant II - Definitive Guide
Sha’ Hala, guardian of N’erud. To find this boss, you need to have spawned in Seeker’s Rest. From there you have to find 3 of the Seeker’s keys to be able to progress to the boss (you’ll get given the first one in Seeker’s Rest, you can’t move on without getting it).
There’s 2 versions of the boss that you can fight, either the physical version or the spectral version. To get the spectral version, you need to find the Override Pin which is located along the pathway in the building where the Custodian is. Before actually going into the building, there’s a tiny hole on the left behind a statue that you can drop down. Follow that and you’ll find the Override Pin. For the physical version, you can just get to the boss area and interact with the panel to activate the fight, otherwise insert the Override Pin to the right of the panel for the Spectral version.
A lot of people say the physical version is an easier fight, but ultimately it’s just learning when to dodge (like most of the bosses on this game). I personally tried to deal as much damage as possible from the get go rather than avoiding some hits which did little damage, can just heal during some of the sections where the boss doesn’t attack you. Eventually, you’ll kill him, and the achievement should pop.
Notice how I said should? I fought this boss (spectral first) and it didn’t pop, so I did the whole world again to get the physical version, and it didn’t pop for me again. I know it should have due to seeing other gameplays where the achievement pops as soon as that final bullet kills him.
My first run through I completed all the side areas first before finishing the boss, my second I just did the main objective. I was on adventure mode for both attempts, so maybe it needs to be on campaign to work? I don’t know. But if anyone else is having this issue or found a fix for this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. But all I can offer is a 99% affective guide.
Hope this helps

Rather than editing cause the guide is quite long, I’ll just leave a comment. I opened up the game a couple days later and apparently I already had the achievement. Quite confident that it didn’t pop up at the time but it says I unlocked it 3 days prior to me leaving this comment, right before I got the “Was this supposed to happen?” Achievement (acquire a world boss’s alternative reward).
It would make sense because I know that achievement only unlocks after you use the item to craft something, and I also fought the alternative version of the boss first. So perhaps it did pop up straight away and I just didn’t notice, or it just randomly decided to pop up a couple days later without telling me. But aside from that, the guide should still help you complete the achievement

If you start at Seeker’s Rest with the big ass statue in N’Erud, then you’ve got the Guardian of N’Erud storyline roll, which will take you to fight off against Sha’Hala. If you’ve already got Madman's Paradise , and want this, but are starting in the prison, then reroll in Adventure Mode (once you’ve completed the world) until you get this starting point.
Then, you simply need to find 3 Seeker Keys dotted around N’Erud and then head to face off with the Guardian of N’Erud. Simply defeat Sha’Hala and this trophy is all yours.

If you chose the first option, return back to the NPC in the Ascension Spire. This way you can save this world and return to it later.
If you choose the second option, the world will be guaranteed to be destroyed, you will no longer be able to get to the N'erud locations.
After 12 real hours, regardless of the choice, the Alepsis Taura location will open. (There is also information that it opens only after killing the final boss, not before).
