Any context of why not to skip cutscenes? Just played through to this achievement and I don't see why that was important.

You’ll encounter the Root Mantis at the end of the tutorial, before you reach Ward 13. Simply stay and fight it at range, and dodge the spit attack to the side when he tries to attack from range too. Do that and you’ll defeat it with ease.
