How to unlock the Proving Grounds achievement in Remnant II - Definitive Guide
You will need to earn 20 additional traits, not counting the core traits or traits temporarily given to you by archetypes. Traits are earned by defeating bosses and aberrations. When each archetype hits level 10, the trait associated with the archetype will unlock permanently and add to this achievement.
Some traits can only be unlocked in multiplayer, so if you’re playing single player, you will need to reach level 10 with 6 archetypes. Make sure you have bonus experience active. Equip the Sagestone Ring (+10%), max out the Scholar trait (+15%, dropped from the final boss) as soon as possible with the Orb of Undoing from Wallace, and keep one of Mudtooth’s Elixir (+15% for 60 minutes) active at all times with 2 traits equipped that are not maxed out.

After earning all other achievements and trophies, the last of the archetype traits can easily be farmed on Yaesha in The Chimney‘s event. Work your way down to the bottom floor quickly while avoiding the lightning levels below and above you. Crystals may be destroyed to reduce incoming damage. When you reach the center for the first time, shoot the 3 red spheres in the middle to clear a path further down.
Once you reach the bottom floor do not shoot the red spheres in the middle of the room. Doing so will end the event. Instead, focus solely on killing every enemy that spawns. The safest place to do so is in the large alcove near the base of the stairs. When you die, you will respawn at the last checkpoint and can repeat the process to unlock the last of your archetypes. Make sure you swap out archetypes as soon as they max out.

For those that think they have 20 traits and it hasn't unlocked. It is NOT bugged. You do not have 20 traits that count towards this.
The four starting archetype traits do not count! And the core 4 that you start with do not count.
So there are 8 traits that do not count for this. The ones that do not count are Endurance, Expertise, Spirit, Vigor, Kinship, Triage, Longshot and Strong Back. Everything else counts toward it.
Everything else counts for this. I've tested this will multiple xbox profiles and watched the tracker. Not once did getting a starting archetype to level 10 count that trait towards the achievement progress. So this has to be grind-ed by leveling up those unlocked archetypes to level 10. Happy grinding!

Glutton actually requires you to eat a downed player during the Feast event. Completing it alone does not give you the trait.
While affected by the Ravenous status effect from the event, go to a downed ally and, instead of reviving them, you will eat them and gain the trait.

There are various different forms of Traits in Remnant 2. There are your core ones you start with, ones you get based on your class, secret Archetypes you can pick up, and of course, non-starter Traits (as in Not Your Average Trait ).
Get 20 of these Traits, which you’ll get from heading off the beaten path and maxing out your character, and this achievement will unlock. Well, we say that, but it is tricky to work out which of the traits qualify for this achievement, but we finally have the solution.
Of the 32 Traits there are in the game:

Of the 32 Traits there are in the game:
- a.) the starting traits don’t count (4);
- b.) neither do the Archetype ones, of which there are 11 (including the secret ones, which I tested as I unlocked 2 secret classes (Explorer and Alchemist) when I was on 9/10 for All These Traits... and it didn’t unlock); and finally,
- c.) the ones that do count definitely, are the 17 Traits, which you can pick up in the open-world (1 of which is bugged in co-op too) are all that remains.
However, the Archetypes do count if you fully max out that Archetype in terms of levels (excluding the starting classes: Healer, Handler, Hunter, Challenger), meaning you can still do this solo, but it's tight. Very tight.

The longest trophy. To obtain it, you need to get all 14 talents from the single player game + level up all NON-basic archetypes (shooter, engineer, alchemist, summoner, explorer and invader) to level 10. An Archon is not needed for the trophy. Talents obtained from co-op play are also taken into account, but it is better not to experiment. At the moment, the fastest leveling is on 2 starting elites in the Bloody Throne location - 900-1000 experience in 25 seconds at the penultimate difficulty level with the talent for experience + ring + tonic for experience.

It is not true. The trophy takes no longer to complete than others. I had 4 classes leveled up to level 10 at the time I received the trophy (shooter, dog handler, alchemist and researcher). The trophy dropped after receiving the "Glutton" talent.

Class talents for lvl 10 count towards the count
Received a trophy without a single co-op talent - found in the game + 5-6 class ones
