How to unlock the The Master Builder achievement in Remnant II - Definitive Guide

Short Disclaimer: This is my first solution, and I’m excited to be one of the first to actually get this achievement! I’ll do my best to explain everything clearly. This achievement can be quite challenging.

!Big News everybody!
It seems to be confirmed that it's possible to only join a host, before he crafts the last item to obtain the gun. Meaning you can skip almost all of the work. I mean come on, this achievement is pretty awful. (Reported by Chazzy Motto)
Edit: Just confirmed it. Definitely works, joining someones Ward before he crafts the last item and then obtains the gun.

Location
Spark can be found in the Agronomy Sector/Withered Necropolis on the planet N'erud, accessible through The Dark Horizon DLC.
  • My friend and I discovered Spark for the first time on the platform below the room where you assemble the prototype in the Agronomy Sector (below the Repair Lab crystal). You can only reach this area via an airlift. After talking to her once, we encountered her again on the third platform in the large pit (the one with a side route entrance).
  • Some people encountered her in various locations; she seems to wander around the map each time you reload the zone, for example, appearing in one of the many alien cornfields. (as reported by Dokkur Firewing)
Spark’s Quest
Background: Spark, identified as 1074-S3, believes she is a failure for not completing her task of cataloging planets.

Dialogue Choices: You can invite Spark to Earth, which she eagerly accepts. However, she mentions a voice preventing her return.

After Defeating the Final Boss:
  • Talk to Spark again. It may take a few tries due to her rebooting. Once she agrees to join you, head to Ward 13.
  • After defeating the boss, we found her in the room next to where you locate the Nanoplated Set (near the Dilapidated Auditorium crystal), sleeping in a corner.
  • Some players have reported finding her there before defeating the boss.
  • It’s rumored that turning the purple pillars yellow again might be necessary, but I can’t confirm if this is essential (we did it).
  • You may need to reload Ward 13 multiple times after she promises to follow you. In our case, exiting the multiplayer session helped us find her in our individual Wards.
Spark’s Shop
Once in Ward 13, Spark will be next to Dwell’s shop and will offer the Alloy Extractor to collect materials across various planets.

Congratulations on making it this far! That was the "easy" part.

To unlock the achievement, you must craft every item she offers—yes, all of them. This is for her to give you a bonus reward: a stylish pistol. My friend and I jokingly referred to her as the "insatiable *somethingnotnice*" because of this.

Planet-Specific Alloys: On each of the three base game planets, there are three unique alloys you will need:
  • Ancient Alloy
  • Mythril Alloy
  • Alien Alloy
You will need a significant amount of these alloys as the base for the nine secret crafting recipes she offers.
Tip: Farming the alloys isn’t as bad as it seems. Since all players in a co-op session receive the alloys, but only one player has to use them, there’s a handy way to share the load. The co-op players can sell their extra alloys to one of the NPCs in Ward 13, and the player who is crafting all the items can then buy them back for 500 scrap each. With two extra players in your game, you'd only need to farm a third of every alloy, so only 100 in total for all the 9 items. (credit to ICoN xLeViAtHaN for this tip)

When you return from one of the planets, you can share your findings with Spark. She will then ask you to collect three different quest items from each planet for her research, resulting in a total of nine items for nine recipes. She describes these items in riddles, but don’t worry—I’ve got the answers for you!

Item List
Yaesha:

Ornate Lockbox + 50 Ancient Alloy
Fruit of Death + 25 Ancient Alloy
Kolket's Key + 25 Ancient Alloy

Losomn:

Clockwork Pinion + 50 Mythril Alloy
Nightweaver Stone Doll + 25 Mythril Alloy
Crimson King Coin (DLC) + 25 Mythril Alloy

N'erud:

Override Pin + 50 Alien Alloy
House Lythla Glyph + 25 Alien Alloy
Decorum Cipher + 25 Alien Alloy

If you need help locating these basegame (or DLC) items, I recommend checking the Fextralife wiki for Remnant II, though keep in mind that the guides there may not be perfect.

Drop Rates: I’m unsure of the drop rates for the alloys, but we had the most success farming them from large elite enemies.

Final Steps
After crafting all the items (and likely playing through the complete game again), talk to Spark again. She will give you the Redeemer and unlock the achievement!

I'm playing with two Coop partners. I built two of the rings and the quest items disappeared from their inventory. They kept their alloys but did not receive the rings. Will they get the achievement If i alone craft all the items in sparky's inventory?

@chwzie yes, everyone in the lobby gets the gun and the achievement when one person turns the last item in

also you should add to the guide where to get the quest items needed:

nerud:
override pin - timeless horizon (guaranteed spawn in Sha'Halas campain)
house of lythla glyph - vault of the formless (optional dungeon)
decorum cypher - terminus station (optional dungeon)

losomn:
clockwork pinion - lemark district (optional dungeon I think)
nightweaver stone doll - morrow parish (guaranteed spawn in nightweaver campain)
crimson king coin - gilded chambers (optional or mandatory dungeon)

yaesha:
ornate lockbox - widow's court (guaranteed spawn in red queens campain)
fruit of death - forbidden grove (guaranteed spawn in ravagers campain, need ravagers mark amulet)
kolkets key - the lament (optional dungeon)

Just tossing this out there. Her locations are random. First time I found her she was in some kind of field, and every-time you zone it seems to change her position on the map. There does not seem to be any requirements as far as I can tell to find her. Though I did interact -1- time with one of those spires that were turned off. Turning it on and making an event.

Also thumbs up, not sure why you got a thumbs down, was detailed and to the point, suppose if you went a bit more in detail being a guide on how to get each of those items, it would be flawless. Also love the formatting.

Did she give you the alloy extractor? you have to go somewhere to get any type of Alloys and then speak to her again for her to carry on with the fetch quest dialogue.

@ICoN xLeViAtHaN also interested to know this, if it works I'd love an invite to someone's room for the last step ha-ha. I can't believe how scummy this achievement is and I'm pretty tempted to just uninstall the game and leave it as the only one missing.

Can confirm that if the host gets the crafts the last piece everyone will get the achievement. I was host last night and my buddy was in my ward 13 and he got the achievement as well as the gun and he only did 2 of the crafting

Anyone got any tips on actually farming the alloys?
0
0
By DwzLiT on 26 Sep 2024 13:53
With all that being said, farming the alloys isn't so bad since all players get them but only 1 has to spend them. The coop players can sell them to one of the girls at ward 13 and the player who is crafting all the items can buy them from her. With 2 players in your game you'd only need to farm like 33/34. They cost 500 scrap each to buy back tho.

Shouldn't you theoretically be able to save scum the alloys with a friend by selling them and having your friend buy them and deleting your save and reverting to the cloud save too?

Crimson King Coin is not a DLC-only item. It's from Gilded Chambers which is a base game location. Yes, the location can spawn in Forlorn Coast of The Awakened King DLC but so can other base game original locations in all the DLCs.

Okay so what I'm seeing is that this achievement is incredibly shitty. However, I have a lot of questions and you're the only source of information so far amongst the beggers who want something for nothing. Please bear with me: Your guide doesn't explain how to farm or where the alloy even drops from. Do these alloys drop from enemies? Chests? The wiki is currently blank so it doesn't say. I booted up N'erud and started killing things but never saw an alloy drop. Also, your guide doesn't mention which fixed items are quest items, as these need to be crafted before re-rolling, correct? Third, you mention the grind will not be bad if split between co-op partners. However, unless I'm reading it wrong: The person crafting all 9 items will need a fuckton of scrap, right? 100k if splitting the grind three ways, 75k if splitting it in half? That's a lot of scrap to buy back alloys from your friends. And lastly, do you have any grind spots to share for all three planets? All of this would really help me (and others) as I am completely lost as to tackle this dumb achievement.

@TillTheMorning I will gladly add what u wrote, as I was to lazy to do that the night I got the cheevo. But the names were enough for the beginning so everyone could look up what they needed to know.

@x1001xPuppys good morning from Oldenburg, I will try to answer your inquiries for nothing in return but more questions.
First, the alloy can drop from pretty much anything killed, for me and my mate it mostly dropped after killing Elite Enemies though.
We never bothered to open chests, so someone else would have to confirm or deny that.
(Btw the item glow of alloy when dropped is the normal yellow like metal, but on the minimap it's purple)
Second, I don't fully understand this question sorry. It is true however that you should craft the items u can, before rerolling, because the Quest items in your inventory will be gone then.
Third, yes.
And lastly, nope, sorry but farming the alloy is as stupid as it sounds.
And with that, I wish everyone a nice Monday.

im not 100% sure but i think the explorer archetype increases the chance of alloys as one of its passive is 10% increase metal drops

@ttv I can give this a test and give my feedback later today. I grinded out all the alloy/ items for both Yaesha and Losomn on my own so I have a good idea of how frequently they drop. I just have to do Nerud so I will equip the explorer arch and see if there is any improvement in drop rates.

Yea so I didn't get the feeling that Explorer really helped with the number of alloy drops, but I was getting a ton of iron drops. I also felt like because I was getting more iron drops, that I was getting less alloy drops vs without Explorer on, so I took it off. I gotta say, Ne'rud has been the most annoying place to grind so far. Spent 2+ hours trying to farm and only got 40 alien alloy.

So the best spot to farm Ancient Alloys is in the Glittering Grotto, just before the second crystal. You can kill 3 elites there and rinse repeat. Does anyone have a good farming spot for ne’rud yet?

First you need to persuade the robot to return to earth with you. After defeating the boss from the DLC, he will be in the same place as the armor for the new class, standing next to him in the last location. The landmark is a cave above the bridge, you can only fly there by air.
Further in the shelter on the ground he will give the task to find 9 artifacts and new resources for crafting items with the sign "?". Artifacts are scattered in 3 pieces in all 3 worlds (not DLC, although old locations can also appear in side quests). A new alloy drops randomly from killed enemies, you need to farm somewhere around 100 pieces for 3 items from one world. Each world has its own special alloy. The main thing when finding the right artifact is to craft it immediately, otherwise when you restart the adventure, the items for the tasks disappear, only the materials remain.

It is necessary to collect key items in each of the worlds. Below is a list of the necessary items. Please note that when you restart the adventure, key items will disappear, also if you play in co-op, you can craft only 1 copy of something, that is, the item drops only to the player who crafted it.
Losom.
Clockwork Pinion, location "Lemark District" - can be in any version of the world
Crimson King Coin, Gilded Chambers location - can be in any version of the world
Nightweaver Stone Doll, Morrow Parish location - look for the world, the first location of which is Morrow Parish.
N'erud.
"Override Pin", location "Timeless Horizon" - look for the world, the first location of which is "Seeker's Chambers"
House Lythla Glyph, Vault of the Formless location - can be in any version of the world
Decorum Cipher, location "Terminus Station" - can be found in any version of the world.
Yaesha.
Ornate Lockbox, The Widow's Court location - can be found in any version of the world
Fruit of Death, location "The Forbidden Grove" - look for the world, the first location of which is "The Forbidden Grove"
Kolket's Key, location "The Lament" - can be in any version of the world.
