This is the last achievement I need but can't for the life of me drop Marcus right before you use the two keys simultaneously. I have 12 magnum rounds, 6 acid rounds, 7 shotgun rounds, handgun ammo, and no health items but this guy's HP is RIDICULOUS. I've used multiple saves, keep trying to go back with the maximum amount of items for the fight but it's impossible.

How much custom handgun ammo do you have? Needs to be at least like 70+ bullets... That should be enough to just about pull it off

Brilliant walkthrough. I always prefer a guide with commentary. I remember Seraphim17 getting me through 1999 mode on BioShock Infinite with his guide. Thank you, sir!!!!

You're a madman for trying to do all these achievements in the one run. Makes for a very good guide though, especially if you're just working on the hard mode achievement and giving yourself plenty of leeway with damage.

Your video helped tremendously. Managed to get it today and had leftover magnum ammo and about 40+ shotgun shells left. I was doing it with healing though.

The giant bat is impossible without flame rounds. Once the little bats spawn in you can never target the big bat again.

Guide was amazing throughout, though for the first leech fight I fired all my grenade launcher rounds(12 acid, 6 flame) and most of the magnum ammo(Dozen so shots) I had left after getting stuck multiple times. Still had enough ammo( 6 Regular Grenade Shells, 6 Magnum Rounds and 40 Shotgun rounds) to get through the second fight, just needed alot of healing items to survive. Word to the wise don't dare try this with no healing/ no saves.

Just want to say this guide right here is superb. I’ve used it 3 times for myself (360/One/PS4) and recommended for a friend (both Xbox stacks), just watch your ammo count and if it falls too far below any of what he’s sporting following a boss fight then reload a save/alternate to a weaker gun. Combining it with the no damage is a plus so you can run Normal using this path and go crazy with herbs/first aid sprays.

I've cleared this on Hard mode with no game knowledge, and I want to let others know that you can clear the game with the items given before the final boss and a knife.

Video proof of Final Boss, and no handgun upgrade either. Good luck with the hard run peeps, you can do it.

This could be a Tricky for anyone that is playing on Hard Mode, If u haven't already Unlocked Infinite Ammo yet. I know I have beat this on Hard Mode myself. I had to restart once because I didn't have enough Ammo for the Infected Bat Boss. I don't have a good Recording Gameplay of the first part I did for my YouTube Channel, But I made a Second Part I did well on that I want to show u guys how to get this Achievement way Easier on Hard Mode. I could say a few things that can help U guys out, What I did on the Train. Do This Before U head inside Umbrellas Training Facility.

1- ditch Rebecca's Hand Gun. DO NOT RELOAD IT ONCE!! Take Billy's Hand Gun at all times. It is much Stronger then Rebecca's Hand Gun. Make sure to Not Waste Ammo shooting the Zombies. Try to Dodge them. It won't hurt taking some Damage from them if u play as Billy at all times. Also Create Those Fire Bottle Cocktails as well. U need them for Zombies and These Roches as well, So u can save more Ammo.

2- Use Billy's Knife on the Scorpion Boss. Dodge his Attack's, Repeat the Process until he's dead. DON'T USE HAND GUN!! Your trying to save as much Hand Gun Ammo as POSSABLE!!!

3- DON'T PICK UP THE HUNTING SHOTGUN!! ditch it! U get a better one in the Training Facility! Make Sure to pick up the SHOTGUN AMMO!! save all the Shotgun ammo u can.

4- Use Rebecca to mix any herbs she can at all times. U must save A lot of Mixed herbs for bigger foes, And bosses as well.

5- Take the Upper Floor path that the leaches were blocking when resetting the Brakes. So U can avoid some Zombies to save Hand Gun Ammo.

Now that we got that out of the way guys. The Umbrella's Training Facility is another Challenge. Just a few things to look out for here that I have done, And will help U out as well.

1- U can leave the Heavy Weapons Ammo In the Training Training Facility by the floor near the steps. Like Magnum Gun/ Grenade Launcher/ Shotgun Ammo/ And Leave some of the Heavy Weapons their of course. Only use the Shotgun Ammo for the Hunters, Plus the crazy monkeys as well. U need to save as Much Grenade Launcher Ammo for the Infected Bat Boss, And the other Bosses after that as well.

2- Ditch the Moving Leach Man at all times. DON'T WASTE AMMO on HIM!!! Unless U have to take him on in the Laboratory.

3- Kill the Centurion Boss ONLY USEING HAND GUN AMMO!! U should have a ton of Hand Gun Ammo from the Train u haven't use!! U can Defeat Him this way guys.

4- When u get to the final part with putting the Tombstone's, Before u even leave the place. Grab any Ammo or Mixed Herbs, Etc, u left by the Steps in the Main Hall's Training Facility. Take everything to the room with the Tombstones u inserted.

5- The last part is a must!! have one of them stay inside, Either Rebecca or Billy. Only have one of them go out and drop the Items near the Church and Repeat the Process. Do this so u don't Teleport where the killer monkeys are waiting to end u!! ALWAYS LEAVE ONE OF THEM INSIDE THE PLACE!! DO NOT EXIT WITH BOTH OF THEM!! otherwise u will end of Teleporting back where the Monkey's are.

Now that sums that up. U should have saved enough Heavy Weapon Ammo up to this point, If u been following this guide here. Now I want to show u a Gameplay Video with the rest of it.

Here's a Video that I got up to the Infected Bat boss and will show u guys how to beat the rest of Resident Evil Zero on Hard Mode. Hope this Guide Helps :).

When playing on Hard, you will learn how to run around monsters, use a knife and save ammo. Accept that in this playthrough you will not kill even half of the monsters, otherwise you will have nothing to kill the main boss with. Difficulties with bosses can arise, in principle, only with the Mouse in the church, since it is difficult to shoot and it will absorb a lot of ammo. The main enemy of this passage is portfolio management. Personally, I lost several minutes searching the Training center hall in search of abandoned goods or dragging a shotgun, grenade launcher, pistol with pharmacies and a “harpoon” closer to the Church with the Mouse.
Pharmacies appear in adequate quantities towards the end - a spray and a mixture of GR herbs in the saveroom of the plant and 2 sprays with GR after the first battle with the Queen. The cartridges for powerful guns can be counted on one hand, so I strongly recommend shooting Stinger (logisch) Centurion, Mouse, Tyrant 2 times with a shotgun (Hunting gun for Scorpio) + pistol, then it will be very easy to kill the Queen. In general, it’s quite comfortable, without nerves, if you know who to run around and catch up in time, fortunately there is a lot of ink in the game. In addition to my words, I’m posting a link to completing one pepper in 2 hours (I did it myself in 4, 30+, with a lot of saves and nerves).

I fully support the author of the tip, but I would like to add a couple of points
Barefoot:
1. Scorpio] on the train. He is killed with a knife, the main thing is to catch the timing. We retreat to the door through which we entered, take the knife in our hands, get into the strike position, only the direction of the strike should be aimed downwards. After each successful blow to the enemy’s “face”, he rebounds and continue to beat until victory. This way you will save ammo and healing.

2. The centipede, in principle, will not cause problems, but I would recommend killing it with a shotgun. Just run into its side and shoot, it leaves, and you follow it and again position yourself in the side. The main thing is not to run after the tail very close, as it hits them too.

3. The bat is one of the most problematic bosses because of the small mice, but there is a way out if you have a grenade launcher with 6 incendiary grenades. At the moment when the cutscene ends, run to the altar and at the moment the mouse dives, shoot, every time you hit she will become, but it must be done quickly. This way the boss is not so difficult. It may take several attempts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ1KJPVMeZg
4. Tyrant first meeting. Here we simply dodge and run into the back and so on until he falls. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fw-IcHpIvxk
5. Tyrant second meeting. Also not very difficult. The main advantage of these methods is that it saves ammunition, but it takes more time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9D761tAfiJI
6. Queen of the larvae before transformation. Here you will have to spend ammo, after the cutscene we run to the left and run around the blocks and shoot, that is, the shooter runs. The subtlety here is how you control your partner using the right stick. As soon as you have run back to a safe distance, order your partner to stay on the spot and from now on control it through the right stick. Or just shoot him if you saved ammunition and you have a lot of ammunition. Well, or with knives, but I don’t recommend that.
7. Queen of the larvae after transformation. In principle, it’s not so difficult here, we just distract from Rebeca, even shoot or poke with a knife, the damage caused by the queen’s tail is not so strong and Billy will survive 4-5 hits, but you need to have first aid kits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yscKOi4_Rww

That's it for the bosses. The only thing I would recommend is to kill Mimic Marcus, near the door with the valve (which you will pick up after the puzzle with the boxes), since you will need to walk there many times. It is best to kill them with fire, Molotov cocktails are the best, it will take 3-4 pieces.

You can also kill a centipede with a knife, although, in my opinion, this is a bit difficult.

In this mode, the knife will become your best friend.
Since childhood, the resident instilled fear in me that when playing on hard mode, there would be tenacious and deadly enemies, and that there would be a shortage of ammunition. However, this continued until I came up with my own tactics.
We use the following tactics against zombies: we shoot 3 times with a pistol, then, when the zombie falls, we strike it 2 times with a knife, then move away a short distance so that we can reach the zombie’s leg with the tip of the knife. The zombie gets up, and we take a fighting stance with knife, bend down. And we start spamming the blow. They hit once, moved away at a distance, and took a stance again. They leaned down and hit. As soon as the zombie falls, we finish it off, 3 - 4 hits should be enough, if there are two or three zombies in a narrow corridor, then we kill two with a pistol, and we finish off the last one with a knife according to the method described above.
It is better to run around cockroaches, as they are clumsy, and this will work to your advantage. You don't have to kill them, this way you'll save ammo
. It is better to kill macaques with acid shells from a grenade launcher, 1 shell, 1 macaque.
. At a high difficulty level, it is better to play as Billy, and always leave Rebecca in some safe place, since Billy can withstand more damage and has a more powerful gun than Rebecca, and don’t forget to take an upgrade for the gun. It will increase the chance of critical damage + rate of fire.
1 boss - a scorpion can be easily killed with a knife. The tactics are about the same as with zombies, where you need to bend over and then spam them by hitting them in the face.
2nd boss: the centipede is killed with 2 shotguns, which can be found on the 1st floor of the mansion, as it is more powerful than the one on the train
3rd boss, the bat is easily killed with a grenade launcher and fire shells. 5 shells were enough for me
. The 4th boss is a tyrant, he will need 12 magnum bullets. You will encounter him twice the 2nd time you will be with a partner, which will make the battle easier for you.
5th boss: Marcus. I killed him with acid shells from a grenade launcher, since they were the only ones I had left, + the pistol helps at a distance, since by this time I had 150+ rounds of ammunition. Rebecca had a shotgun and 30+ rounds of ammunition.
The final boss is also Marcus, but more mutated. Before the fight with him, we will be given shotgun cartridges (7 pieces), regular grenade launcher shells (6 pieces), and pistol cartridges (15 pieces). And as a bonus 2 sprays and herbs: red and green.
We wet him until the cutscene appears, and only then we run from him, shoot and gain time for Rebecca, who is turning the valves.
PS It is better to run around leeches and spiders. Save ammunition.
Leeches will cost 4 Molotovs
If you decide to kill a zombie only with a knife, then you will need to strike him 17 times
Good luck!

It's simple. A pistol is only needed to clear zombies (I advise you to carry it with you until the last minute - it’s good to clear passages, there’s a lot of cartridges). Clear areas only where you need to spend a long time, the rest is covered.

A room with riddles about animals (monkeys), a water spring (2 hunters). I don’t remember anyone else I killed except zombies.

1. Scorpio. Easy to kill with a knife. We need articles on the border of the camera so that the scorpion is not visible and stupidly spam down. He goes and screws himself.
2. Centipede. You kill with a shotgun.
3. Bat. 5-6 grenade launcher charges.
4. The first tyrant. Magnum - 12 shots. Zero damage to you. After this boss, go down to the 3rd floor. There will be magnum cartridges there.
5. Second tyrant. Billy put on a shotgun, get yourself a magnum. Shoot 6 times and you should fall.
6. Queen. Billy Magnum, Rebecca Grenade Launcher. Stupid spam until it dies. If he runs out of ammo, he will switch to the shotgun.
7. Final. The remaining heavy weapons and a shotgun. By the way, I had more than 30 rounds of ammunition here. Finished at 5.

There are a lot of saves. Spent 21 grand.

The “old” trick with doors helps a lot (he went in, shot, came out, and so on in a circle) - it just saves you with the babeians, with it it’s easy to cut Mimic and Tyrant with a knife (in the second meeting) - the main thing is to “catch” them at the door - although the knife is there at all it sucks and it will take a very very long time to cut them What works against the queen (after transformation) is to stand on the stairs (the main thing is to aggro her on yourself and leave your partner further behind) opposite the valve and then she will not hit you with acid (the main thing there is to find a place between the 2-4 steps where the damage from it does not pass ) and stupidly shoot her Well, the main feature is that it saves a lot of ammo and helps you run through zombies - if you stand up and hit with a knife downwards, then the zombie coming at you misses you (misses) and after a couple of blows with a knife falls to the ground - although this trick works if a zombie attacks, but you fight back on one line - otherwise you don’t hit him with a knife, then he immediately grabs you, after you knocked down a zombie and he got up, then the second time he immediately grabs you (i.e. you need to go out the door and come in again) - a little practice and zombies can be stupidly slashed with a knife (or knocked down and run through them) - this method also helps in leech hunters (especially at the end on “bonus” zombies), although in the game there were zombies (a couple of them in total) for which this did not work (in the room where you need to move a cabinet and take a book)

Collect and keep pistol ammo. With a banal kite between a wall with a grate, you can kill Marcus, having 200 pistol rounds with you, leaving 8 magnum rounds and a shotgun for the first phase of the flipper. Just enough to transfer to the second phase.
By kills during the game - kill everyone who gets in the way: in narrow passages (train, narrow corridors on the second floor, monkeys in the basement). Just drop all the spiders. If you have a choice: HP or spend ammo, exchange HP (I did this in the room with the train to the subway, where you need to pick up the dial from the room with two hunters)
And most importantly: don’t be afraid. There was a lot of rustling with the complexity, but there are plenty of consumables in the game. Even if you only run along key points.
