How to unlock the Nemesis Down? achievement in RESIDENT EVIL 3 - Definitive Guide

You will get this in your first main battle with Nemesis after you escape the building he us burning with the flame thrower.

I was well equipped, there is a storage box and save just before.

He will have a flame thrower and fuel tank. You need to explode the tank.

Thus won't be the end of the fight, he will keep coming but can be put down with a few shotgun or explosion ammo shots.

STORY and UNMISSABLE

You will get this trophy after defeating Nemesis for first time at the rooftop of the Construction Site.

For the first part of the fight, focus on the gas tank on his back, trying to keep your distance out of the flamethrower and any physical attacks. Use the electricity generators in a timely manner to stun him momentarily and continue to attack.

Once you destroy the gas tank, nemesis will start attacking you more directly and ramming you from time to time. Use your surroundings to take cover and attack on his weak spots when you get the chance.

Below is a video showing you how to accomplish this during your first runs and without using the Infinite Rocket Launcher.
