How to unlock the What Are They Worth? achievement in resident evil 4 (2005) - Definitive Guide
You need to earn 3000pts to earn a prize for most, others its 4000pts or 3000pts with 25/25 targets
There are many points throughout the game where next to the merchant there will be a shooting gallery blue icon on the map and blue door next to merchant. My advice would be to ignore them until you unlock all 4 A,B,C, & D which would be on the island where a door opens repeatedly and dynamite is constantly thrown then 2 flaming arrow soldiers. You get aboot 100,000 PTAS for completing all 4 rows so you can use it for some good cash if you need it, aboot 20,000 for row 1 25.000 for row 2 then 30,000 and 50,000. Also always go with sniping because you get a handgun and bolt action sniper rifle
For each sets first 4 prizes will be the same pattern and the last two will change it up just a bit though its not really more difficult. Just go with the hand gun and focus on hitting all the targets regardless of headshots since after 5 consecutive hits a bonus target appears in the back and is worth 500 points best way to rack up a high score.
Points value:
Male Ganado body 50pts headshot 100pts
Female Ganado body 100pts headshot 200pts
Ashley -1000pts
5 consecutive hits Salazar target 500pts
Dynamite Ganado 100pts if dynamite hit and clears all targets (don't hit the dynamite)
For sets A and B just go with the handgun since it will get you accustomed to the game and that specific gun since the merchant makes you use his weapons only. Placement wise just stand in the center in front of the bell
For set C stand off the side since there will be a few targets that will be obscured by Ashley and you want to avoid hitting her since you'll lose 1000pts right away for the first 4 stand to the left corner and the last two stand in the right corner it should allow you to see every target and give you a good shot at them and remember to focus on body shots to guarantee the Salazar bonus target.
For set D I would recommend using the sniper rifle for this one since you can focus on headshot still get bonus targets and avoid Ashley since there will be A LOT of them. Placement wise stand just to the right side of the center bell where you can face forward but still see the bell to the left of Leons hip it should give you enough room to aim with the sniper rifle and hit only the right targets since the sniper can hit multi targets if they are in a line. Make sure to count so when you hit five you can ignore the few Ganado targets and aim for the bonus target in the back and prioritize the female Ganados since they are worth more and remember you have more time than you think to hit the targets. Near the end there will be a bunch of Ganados and one with dynamite while its easy to hit the dynamite DON'T switch to the hand gun and shoot all of them with body shots 10 or so targets will be there and you can make sure to get body shot points and 2 or more bonus targets instead of just the 100pts for clearing the field. I managed to get over 4000 pts with aboot 20/25 targets just based on precision and bonus targets. Also bonus tip if you have trouble turning fast enough zoom out and aim towards the next target after firing then after the bolt animation zoom in while still moving toward the next target never stay fully zoomed since your turning is slower the more your zoomed.

Like some others, I had the issue where I acquired my 24th bottle cap and it did not unlock. I had done all 24 bottle caps using only the hand gun, spread into two gaming sessions separated by saving at the typewriter outside the range in 5-3. I also had quit out of courses sometimes after hitting an Ashley, no idea if that influences the bug. But! I managed to get the cheevo in the end. Here's what I did, in case it helps anyone else:
I had saved my game after acquiring 20 bottle caps, including the rare bottle cap for course D. I loaded up that save and went back in. I did a round of course A using the TMP (since I was worried maybe using only the Sniping guns is causing the bug, hence why few people have reported the bug), not acquiring a new bottle cap because I had already finished the course A caps. I then got my 21st to 23rd bottle caps using the hand gun again on course D. I then went and saved again at the typewriter. After going back in again I did course D a final time with the handgun and beat it on my first try, no quitting out or anything, and it popped!
I don't know if the fix was that I tried out the other type of guns, or that I didn't quit out of a match in that session, or just blind luck doing it a second time, but take hope that you can still get it, and definitely make a save after 23 bottle caps in case it bugs on you!

Hey all, just a video to kind of help put the tips into action. Made it for a friend, but I figured I'd upload it here to make sure people knew them. Not much to add to SsgtRubberDucky's awesome guide, hope the video helps!
