How to unlock the Peerless Agent achievement in Resident Evil 4 - Definitive Guide
Briefing
Professional mode (Pro) is unlocked after finishing your first run of the game on any difficulty.
Pro mode disables autosaves, so in case of death you'll be returning to whichever last manual save you had, enemies are stronger, faster and dangerous. While you don't need a specific rank to unlock this, be aware the bonus weapon Chicago Sweeper is a reward for attaining A rank or better (beat the game under 7 hours).
I'd recommend, before attempting your Pro run, obtaining A rank in Hardcore so that you unlock Armor Ashley, making her invencible. NG+ will help you big time.
You can freely use bonus weapons to complete your Pro run. Originally, the only way to unlock the Handcannon magnum was if you completed a fresh Pro run without bonus weapons. Now, simply by obtaining S ranks in all mercenaries maps should unlock it.
If you're feeling fancy and got $2 Million pesetas, you can buy an infinite rocket launcher by the merchant store. "Time to cause some mayhem" as he would say. You can reduce the price to $1.6 Million if you got the special charm "Leon w/Rocket".
Puzzles
Below, you can find all the solutions for puzzles in-game regardless of difficulties.
Pro mode vs lower difficulties
There may be more enemies in certain areas, i.e.
- In Chapter 5, before crossing the bridge to gather with Luis, in the same area as you search for Blue Medallions Part 1, prepare to fight a Brute (those guys with a minotaur in their head). Fortunately, doesn't have a hammer.
- In Chapter 12, after defeating Salazar and taking the elevator, be aware of two armor knights hiding in corners.
- In Chapter 16, the timer to escape the island is reduced to 1:30 minutes (same as Hardcore), instead of 2:30 minutes (Assisted, Standard). However, you'll still have between 10 - 15 seconds left, so it's merely to add tension. If you have any problems here, there's a typewriter as soon as you exit the elevator section.

I have a question, does costumes void getting the handcannon on a fresh new game Pro run? Like can I use Ashleys armor costume or any other costume for Leon?

@Mandalorias You can use any costume you want for both Leon and Ashley. In fact, Armor Ashley should make the run a breeze, since her section cannot be failed due to invulnerability, the enemies will be kinda distracted by trying to grab her, and if they hit her, you can stab them or kick them because they get stunned by doing so.

This is the hardest difficulty setting in the game, but with no rank requirement, you can tackle this on New Game+ using a previous save file. Having fully upgraded weapons makes this run much easier, and if you want to make things even simpler, we recommend following our roadmap at the top of the page. This will see you tackling Professional for the first time using the Infinite Rocket Launcher, which means you should be able to complete the game in about 3-4 hours, giving you an S-rank and unlocking the Chicago Sweeper bonus weapon in the process, which is essential for unlocking Gun Fanatic (20G)
