How to unlock the Night Terrors achievement in RESIDENT EVIL 5 - Definitive Guide
* First section has no enemies but one shows up after you get a crest. You dont need to fight this one and just run past him.
* 2 enemies in the dungeon you can kill as you have plenty of grenades and ammo
* When hunting for Moon and Sun crest you dont actually need to kill the 2 enemies but it would help alot. Use all your remaining ammo on them as you will lose your weapons anyway.
* When using the different colored cranks try to lure the enemies under the spikes. Dont worry about Jill as enemies tend to ignore her and go after you. Use flash grenades when cornered to escape. When the spikes fall and enemy holds up his spear to prevent getting crushed, just run up and punch them in the face, you will have enough time to run out of there before spikes fall.
* Fight against Wesker is easy, just run around in circles until the fight is over. Dont bother to fight him as you will easily lose since his damage is insanely high!
* Enjoy the achievement
You do not need to defeat Wesker in order to beat this. If you aren't able to do serious damage to him. Just try your best to survive until Wesker ends the boss fight. Depending on how much damage determines what Wesker will say.
The first area itself is very straightforward. I highly suggest to play it on lower difficulties a few times. In order to memorize exactly what to do. Trust me doing this really helped in attempting this on Professional.
I do recommend learn how the enemies attack. You can avoid majority of them. But it is critical to not take too long to be saved or saving your partner. Otherwise it will be death now this process will be noticeably faster on Professional. Which means you have to be very close to them or in vice versa in order to save.
I hope these tips helps others in finishing Lost in Nightmares on Professional.
If you were to even consider this DLC chapter difficult, this is the trophy that would make it so. Unlike many games where "higher difficulties" only change how much you damage you take and how much damage enemies take, Resident Evil brings it to a new level. Enemies spawn in new areas. Puzzles require more components to complete or take longer in general. Ammo is limited. In Lost In Nightmares, the noteworthy differences are:
- A Guardian of Insanity will definitely spawn after Jill plays the piano. It'll appear in the room moments after picking up the Emblem in the secret hallway.
- A Guardian of Insanity will spawn after the player saves their partner from the spike ceiling trap. This can be the most dangerous new factor; it'll go straight for the player near the switch that stopped the trap and will come directly into the cobble hallway towards them. It always uses the grab attack so try to reunite with your partner as quickly as possible.
- It may have just been a coincidence but I found that in Professional Mode, the Guardian of Insanity monsters use their grab attack (which is an instant-kill move) *much* more frequently, meaning you must stay close to your partner at all times.
- The puzzle before encountering Wesker will require you to find all four puzzle pieces; this can be tough if you're not careful.
- Unlike all other difficulties, the locations of Guardians of Insanity in the previously mentioned crank puzzle will NOT be available on the map. The music that starts playing when one notices you or simply the sound of them trudging through the murky water is your only indication.
As you can see, these are the most noteworthy differences and are simply a heads up on the changes. Boosting can make this a lot easier, as you won't simply be working with computer A.I. To find a partner to boost any of the trophies in Lost In Nightmares, check the Resident Evil 5 Boosting Thread.
Before you can complete the game on Professional you will need to do at least one run through on Veteran.
Dealing with the Executioners
These guys will be your biggest threat while making your way through the story. Once you get to the trap section make sure you keep a close eye on where the Executioners are. They don't show up on your map so running into them can be fatal.
At certain points they will use their anchors to stop traps from falling, this will be your best chance at attacking. Use a flash-bang to disorientant them and use your melee attack to spring the trap. You can use the trap on up to two or three executioners at a time, though it's easier to deal with each one separately.
Fighting Wesker
This may take a few attempts but once you get a rhythm going and know his attacks you should be able to time a perfect hit. Make sure you dodge when he attacks, just after you dodge and run for cover. He will run off after a certain period of time so keep evading him and countering his attacks.
