How to unlock the Masters of Removing achievement in RESIDENT EVIL 5 - Definitive Guide
***SPOILERS***
At the end of the chapter 5-3, you run into Wesker and Jill. During the first part of the fight, they are both after you and you can just wait until Wesker gets bored or damage him enough to force him to leave early getting you Bad Blood and the chance to pick up Heart of Africa for your treasure collection.
Once Wesker is gone, only brainwashed Jill will remain. Your objective is to remove the device on her chest. To get the achievement, BOTH players need to be involved. It is possible to try and remove the device while Jill is down but then only one player is doing the work and you will miss this achievement. So, one player has to grab Jill while the other one is removing the device. JILL HAS TO BE STANDING! It doesn't matter who's holding her and who will remove the thing, though. If done in co-op, both players will be rewarded with the achievement.
This is for removing the injector spider from Jill after the Jill and Wesker boss fight.
DO NOT shoot Jill as you will kill her!
Instead wait until she is incapacitated on the ground and shoot the injector. Then try and remove it by mashing the button shown on screen.
Eventually the injector will come off and the trophy is yours.
Note: Don't use a shotgun, and don't fire too many shots on the injector or you'll kill Jill.
Again at the end of Chapter 5-3 just after "Bad Blood." Wesker will depart and leave you alone with Jill. Move closely to her but be careful, too close and you'll get a boot to the face. The game will prompt you with the button to try and reason with her (if you are Chris); it may take a few of these prompts but Jill will then become confused. Sheva will grab Jill and give you the opertunity to try and grab the chest piece or shoot it, shoot it for now until it begins sparking. Now reason with Jill and when Sheva grabs her press to grab the chest piece then mash to try and rip it out. It will take a few attempts of this to finish the battle.
This will not unlock if you rip out the chest piece when Jill is on the floor.
The someone special is the the second battle that occurs at the end of chapter 5-3. Your objective is to remove the device from her chest, however, it must be removed when she is standing. If you remove it while she's on the floor you will not unlock the trophy since you aren't working together with your partner.
To remove the device, you or your partner need to press the prompted button while behind her to temporarily restrain her. If you are controlling Chris you can press to distract her which will make this process easier.
Once restrained you can either shoot the device which will send her to the floor or mash the prompted button to attempt to tear it off. On amateur you can get away with a couple of tearing attempts while she is on the floor without it coming off, but do not go over that. You'll want to shoot the device every now and then instead of just tearing or you could be looking at 10+ attempts before it comes off.

The trophy is given only for removing the control device together with a partner (one holds, the other removes) (Jill is standing)
It is obtained as follows:
Control device status 10000 points. When any weapon is fired at the device, it takes away 1500 status points.
We stay close to Jill so as not to shoot. Don't forget about her melee attacks.
First you need to fire 6 shots at the control device to take away 9000 points of its condition. In this case, it is better for an AI-controlled character to shoot. He never misses. And you better make a grab. To do this, being behind Jill, press [square]. After 6 shots, you need the AI to do the capture, approach Jill from the front and press [circle]. Further, each press of the [cross] takes away 30 status points from the control device. You need to have time to press [cross] 34 times. Your character removes the device from Jill's chest, the trophy is yours.
It is necessary to do 3 steps, and then how convenient for removal:
1) You or a partner hold Jill, the other shoots at the device (It’s better to hold it yourself because your partner (if a bot) always hits the device
2) Your partner is holding Jill, you are trying to pull out the device manually
3) We send Jill into lockdown for a while (let’s say Sheva is conducting the reception), and when Jill is lying on the ground, we try to manually pull out the device
Personally, I did all 3 points in order, and then I repeated step 2 until I removed it and received the trophy. I checked with friends - this method works.
Note:
- Jill should not receive damage (we don’t shoot at her (only at the device when possible)
- talk to her (press square when we run around her)
- don’t stun her with flash grenades and others - otherwise there will be no trophy, even if you do all 3 points described above.
