How to unlock the Finish What You Start achievement in RESIDENT EVIL 6 - Definitive Guide

Chris's Campaign Chapter 1-3 Rooftops.

What you'll need:
Flash Grenades,
Ammo in your MP-AF
Normal Difficulty

Start the chapter. Pop a shot in the first guys leg. He should run off to the side or down the stairs towards you. Throw a Flash behind him and have him stunned. (I aim for the steel beam in the middle, stuns both enemies.)
Run up to him and finish the job with a RT prompt. If the guy up top has ran down the stairs. Throw another Flash. Prompt then reload the checkpoint. Should take about 10 reloads to grab both achievements.
If it fails. You'll get a notch towards "Give A Little Push"
It's not perfect. Though you can knock both achievements out with this method.

Major thank you and credit to BLAZE VII for the 360 guide to this achievement and tips with Flash grenades and Normal Difficulty!

If you find a better spot to gather this achievement, let us know in the comments and I'll update and credit! Hope this helps! smile

EDIT: incorrect Chapter. Thank you Dragonborn Gear!

You need to correct your chapter number. Rooftops is 1-3.

At the start of Leon 4-1 there is a gas zombie that jumps away after you defeat it. Simply shoot it a few times with the shotgun to drop it down then run up and RT it to make it jump away. Doing this does add progress to your counter even though you're not killing the monster. Very easy solution to clean up any that you may have not gotten in the campaign. I hope this helps someone struggling with getting them.

This method works for bumping the in game counter up for Coup de Grace kills, however in order to pop the achievement you will have to fully kill a regular enemy.
I would recommend Leon’s Campaign Chapter 1-4 Town.
Headshot a zombie, sprint and slide into them then preform a melee attack from their front, this will force the achievement to register against the in game counter.

A coup de grace is a special physical attack which can be performed on enemies under certain conditions. Usually it involves dazing, or staggering the enemy. The easiest ways I found of setting up this attack are:

On regular enemies (zombies/J'avo) - Flash grenades will daze enemies in a way that will allow you to follow up with a coup de grace. Throw a flash grenade into a group of enemies, then run up next to them and hit when prompted for a coup de grace. If you're quick, you can get 2-3 in a group before they recover.

On B.O.W.s - On tougher enemies (most commonly creatures that come from cocoons) they'll fall to their knees once they've taken enough damage. Run next to them and press  for a coup de grace.

If your partner is grappled - If your partner gets grabbed, rescue them by pressing the  and you will usually perform a coup de grace.

You'll most likely unlock this just playing through the campaign. If you somehow need a few more, an easy place to score some coup de graces is at the beginning of Chapter 4 in Leon's campaign where you fight a Leposita. Damage it until it kneels, and  up close and repeat until you've unlocked the achievement.

Everything works fine. We set the melee and critical hit perk (level 3), then it flies away accurately and the partner will not “finish” it

Not exactly as described above. Just a finishing blow doesn't work. It will appear in the statistics, but it will not count towards the trophy.

You need to catch the moment when someone grabs your partner (precisely grabs you, not throws you to the ground), run up and press
. The enemy must die from your attack, otherwise it does not count. All of the above was verified by me personally on 11/30/2017

A good place to boost a massive zombie attack in front of the cathedral, chapter for Leon 2-2. We run in circles, don’t kill anyone and wait for Leon to be captured (he’s quite quick in the PS4 version). The difficulty level is low or normal, not higher. We play accordingly for Helena.

Don’t give yourself crap based on the last two tips - watch the video from the first one - and follow it. Everything works there. It doesn’t work out for people because the blow was not the last and the partner, apparently, still “finished” the mob. Strike to victory. Perhaps, during the game, you have already killed someone like this and you will have to do less finishing. I only needed to do it 3 times.

Very easy to get by playing the campaign as Jake. Throw a flashbang and approach the enemy. .Repeat until done.

Also, when playing LEON, you will get an automatic at the beginning of Chapter 3, if you use melee more often.

I got this trophy like this: Go to the mercenaries mode, take Jake (he has two blind grenades), put the Monster Workshop card. We gather 3-4 enemies around us, throw a blinding grenade and finish them off with a melee attack on R1. A couple of passes and the trophy is yours.
