How to unlock the Heirlooms achievement in Resident Evil 6 - Definitive Guide

You will gain this achievement upon shooting your last Serpent emblem.

There are a total of 80 emblems you have to shoot.

NOTE: During the Chris and Piers and Jake and Sherry's campaign there are a few emblems that will require a certain character to get them.

Chris and Piers.
Chapter 2 Emblem 2 Piers only
Chapter 4 Emblem 4 (Can be gotten by both characters but Piers is easier)
Chapter 5 Emblem 1 *EDIT The 5 - 1 emblem which Chris can get while crawling through the fan vents can be acquired by Piers as well.

To get the emblem as Piers, first get boosted across the gap by Chris, then proceed towards the second switch that turns off the second fan that blocks Chris' path. While heading this direction, be looking down. You should be able to see it below the floor in the top right corner of a floor grate you can see through. Shoot through the floor grate to collect it.

Just wanted to note that there actually are not any emblems in the Chris/Piers campaign that Piers can't get. The 5 - 1 emblem which Chris can get while crawling through the fan vents can be acquired by Piers as well.

To get the emblem as Piers, first get boosted across the gap by Chris, then proceed towards the second switch that turns off the second fan that blocks Chris' path. While heading this direction, be looking down. You should be able to see it below the floor in the top right corner of a floor grate you can see through. Shoot through the floor grate to collect it.

That was weird, for Leon Chapter 2 emblem 3/4, it was in a bathroom, but the sink wasn't across from the door, it was to the left of the door...

As a note, In the Jake/Sherry campaign, Jake can get emblem 3 in chapter 1 by tossing a grenade up to where it is. Flash grenade will work too, that's how I got it.

If you're going through just to get the emblems can you quit after shooting them, or do you have to get to the next checkpoint?

In reply to the question about seeing which ones you're missing, there is special feature area in the main menu where there are what looks like game machines with action figures. That's where the emblem progression is shown.

How do you switch characters if playing solo, like from Leon to Helena?

Can only change from the menu before you load into the mission I believe. Or maybe when playing Solo for the first time it forces you to play certain character. If anyone can confirm that this is the case.

Anyone have this glitched at some point? I have 80/80 serpent emblems in game and all figurines in the collections, but the achievement is stuck at 97%. Will this unlock if I run through them all again? I'm just wondering if some didn't save or if I'm actually screwed now. And to answer the question above, it's not possible to switch characters unless you go back to the main and restart the chapter.

Not heard of it glitching out before. But might be worth playing through and collecting again. It could just be one didn't count correctly for the achievement progress.

Had this achievement get stuck at 98% as well. Only solution that worked was wiping my save completely and getting all emblems again. I’d also recommend paying attention to the achievement tracking and making sure It’s at 98% before collecting the last emblem.

Just to be on the safe side, I'd recommend hitting the next checkpoint to make sure it saves it.

Emblems are this games collectible. There are 4 in each of the 20 chapters for a total of 80 emblems. When you find one, shoot it to collect it. If you're cleaning up emblems you missed on your previous playthrough, you don't have to worry about reaching a checkpoint after shooting an emblem; you can quit to menu and your emblem progress will be saved.

You can keep track of the emblems you’ve collected or missed by going to Special Features -> Collections. Think of each row as a chapter, and each column as the emblems in order of appearance in the chapter. The last row and column are figures you’ll unlock.

This guide tells u what sub chapter each emblem is as well as what character to play. Not sure why this isn’t here in 7 years of existing but here it is. Hope it helps someone else

There are a total of 80 serpent emblems in Resident Evil 6. There is 20 of these collectibles hidden in each campaign (4 campaigns: Leon, Chris, Jake, Ada).
You just need to shoot the emblems with your weapon to collect the emblems.
Completing this will unlock the Trophy/Achievement - Heirlooms

In the Chris/Piers campaign in Chapter 4, the video shows the incorrect order of collecting emblems! (Assuming you decided to play as Pierce the first time)

The third emblem should be the second! (Fire a sniper rifle at a boat that shines a spotlight on you as you go outside)

You simply won’t be able to assemble the third one - you will cross the point of no return and sit straight on a fighter.

When you take the emblem, it is not necessary to reach the checkpoint, just as you found the missing snake emblem, you just need to end the current session and it will be automatically saved in the collection. Good luck searching!

In the 2nd chapter of Leon's campaign, the third emblem was in another sink, or rather it was another toilet in the same corridor.

Also pay attention to which character in the video embossed the emblem, as often the characters are separated and only one can emboss the emblem (this is also written in the comment under the video). For example, the 2nd chapter for Chris, you need to go through it with Pierce, because only he can knock down the emblem on the bridge.

If you haven’t collected something (you can always see the number of emblems: “main menu”, then in records), then go to the “main menu”, then “special features”, then “collections”. There will be slot machines with figurines and a retelling of the RE plot. If there is a black square somewhere, it means that the emblem was not taken in this campaign. By the location of the "hole" you can approximately recognize the chapter.

Don't forget that you need to break the emblem and get to the checkpoint, otherwise the emblem will not count.
