How to unlock the You Love to Hate my 98 achievement in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City - Definitive Guide

This solution is written relatively early, so there may or may not be a faster way. The quickest way of getting 98 vs games under your belt that i've found is to begin a heroes game with a boost partner. Have 1 person be an Umbrella op, and the other a Hero. Just simply meet somewhere & have the Umbrella op kill the Hero. The match ends when the Hero is dead. I personally found the Train Wreck map useful as there are several sets of exploding barrels in the Hero's spawn room. Simply have the Hero stand near the barrels, then run in, score 4 or 5 headshots with your pistol, then toss a grenade at the barrels. Our matches were taking roughly 30 seconds a pop, but factoring in voting & load times, the games took about 3 min each.

Got the achievement last sunday, took about 8 hours total. Heroes mode is the fastest one to complete, so do it. Although the game is so bad that you'd rather fall into a coma that play it, but it's 50 G's after all.

AC1DGro0ve 3o3, this method is Private, as you can't start a normal game with only 2 people.

Private match on Hero mode seems to be the quickest. Train Wreck is the easiest map too since it's hard to get lost and spawn points are easy to remember for each side.

Thanks for solution, anyone who still needs this add me (only going to the cheev pops however, not an invitation to anyone in a year or so after I've got the achievement to add me for this).

Solution for people with the --DLC--Echo 6 Expansion Pack 1--by far the quickest way to boost the matches is by using the crucible in a foundry match,1 players runs strait under the crucible & the other player runs strait to the button for a super quick kill. The game only spawns you in 2 maybe 3 spots that are close & easy to get to the crucible or button quickly. The matches take only 10 seconds with this method, not counting loading & such but much faster & no zombies getting in the way.

Just giving you all a time frame in which you can get this achievement. If you boost with people who are a bit slow at picking their character and readying up,say you boost for 2 hours, you will only get 21 or less games played.

In 1 hour,if you are quick enough you could get 12-15 games, which means it should take a around 6 hours to get the achievement. Just do 1 on 1 heroes on the Code Blue map, as it seems small enough.

If you boost with more than 1 person, make sure to pick 1 person to be killed and just have him on a team by himself and kill him over and over. Mix things up if you get bored.

: You must be signed into the Sony Entertainment Network to unlock this trophy.
Maximum Players Needed to Boost: At least 2

This is a Versus Mode trophy and can be done either in "Public" or "Private" matches. A self-explanatory trophy, just simply play and complete any Versus Mode match type until you played 98 completely. You can keep track of this in the "Records" found at the main menu screen and then scroll over to the "Versus" tab to view stats. You can do this without boosting at all as people are currently active online, however, boosting this in Heroes Private matches will unlock this trophy quickly. Below is the boosting method:

How to Boost 98 Versus Games:

  1. Have at least 1 boosting partner ready to accept an invite.
  2. Start a Private match on Heroes and invite your boosting partner.
  3. Select any Stage map you wish, but I prefer the Fire Stage called Blood Drive because there's fire in a door that can hurt you. It's found at the center of the map towards the right. It'll help you two kill each other faster.
  4. Really doesn't matter who kills who. Kill a player for the game match to end. It's best to take turns and switch turns killing each other though, as the winner gets about 1200 XP and the loser receives a small 300 XP.
  5. Repeat step 3 over again and remember that each player gets credit for the game match completion.

Comeplete 98 Versus games private or non private for this achievement.

The fastest way to get this achievement is to start up a 1v1 Private Hereos match on Birkins Lab and meet your partner in the middle, you can get to the middle from spawn in about 10 seconds. As soon as one of you kills the others, that's game over and 1 game closer to your goal. You can average 2 games every 5-6 minutes.

Note: The Nemesis game mode does not count towards this achievement.
