Resident Evil Revelations 2

I suggest attempting this on a 2nd playthrough on Casual difficulty. I think you have to do a playthrough 2 as in your 1st playthrough you are forced to fire a shot.

So for this I was live streaming on Twitch and recorded my 1st attempt at this achievement. Sorry for the stops during the video I was discussing this achievement with the awesome and helpful BLAZE VII

What I did was run past every enemy I could and if a mistake was made I let death be my option for another shot at whatever I was stuck at.

I only healed myself and knife'd when I felt need. I wasn't sure what voided the achievement so I decided to just go blindly and see what happened. I accidentally reloaded my Pistol when I was picking junk up but seeing as how the achievement unlocked I see it wasn't an issue.

My suggestion is to run,run,run and run. Death is totally acceptable. DO NOT use the Flashlight as Moira or the Crowbar. As Natalia ONLY use the Brick for opening the locked door. I picked up items that were on the floor but I wouldn't use the flashlight or point on the hidden ones.

This video isn't so much a guide but a recording of a successful attempt. However, if you copy what I do in the video you should be awarded with the achievement like I was.

JTYdude99 confirms that local coop won't void the achievement.

This is what i did towards the achievement you are free to do what ever you like but for absolute results follow the guide unless your stubborn in which case enjoy your many play-through's

Do not aim your gun, Do not aim the flashlight at all during your play through, this must be done on your second play through as you will not have to shoot down the keys at the very beginning as you would during your very first play through. Try this on casual or any other difficulty you best see fit, absolutely try not to kill anything, as the first enemy with the knife encounter seems to be enough towards the achievement as that was the only person i killed during my play through during which i unlocked the achievement. This happened to be the case for me but you can do what you like but i would strongly suggest that you do NOT PICK UP ITEMS this includes AMMO, BP POINTS & HERBS, Also do not do any Stealth Attacks, Physical Attacks or Ground Finishers they seem to void the achievement but i'm not to sure but it's best to stay away from these. One last thing that may void the achievement is using the flamethrower bit in the middle do not interact with it at all.

Here are things you can do. You can switch out characters but remember not to use Natalia's brick or Moira's crowbar, you can only use the crow bar twice, Once when you come to your first door after Claire insists that Moira has a weapon, and the second is the door after you insert the golden cog piece. As for the brick you can use it to open the gate when you have to separate from Barry for the second time. If your AI(Claire or Barry) shoot when you are playing as the opposite player, Don't panic as this is OK and will not effect the achievement.

UPDATE: During Barry's campaign with your first encounter with the Revenant, you do not have to kill it at all. All you need to do is switch to Natalia and look at it (DO NOT POINT) just look up at the ceiling and then run around the cabin until you have a chance to smash open the door with Barry. (The mashing button bit)

So i would like to start out by saying this achievement is defiantly frustrating in that we don't fully understand what voids the achievement but here are some rules i followed that let me unlock the achievement on my third run. Note If you mess up on any of the following voiding conditions.

1. New Game + on casual. (But it has been said that you are able to do this on a new game) also if you die or retry after the achievement is void i think it remains voided.

2. NO PLAYER CONTROLLED Crowbar Hits, NO with the Flashlight,NO with Natalia, NO PLAYER CONTROLLED brick hits (except during the use to unlock doors) NO sub-wepons. Side note with berry i did not use his to turn on his flash light I have no idea if this affects the void or not but i was taking no chance.(AI Eventually Turned it on but still got the Achievement.)

3. Speed Basically you wanna try and speed run as best as you can try to avoid combat but if you feel you need to fight by all means fight but please use the tips mentioned. Basically Less combat means less room to mess up.

4. No follow up attacks Basically any attack that prompts you to press this includes stealth attacks. When knifing you can just hold the trigger to do a continues basic knife attack that DOES NOT trigger the follow up attack. During the Barry and Natalia Stealth tutorial i did not use the point ability at all just walk to the infected and when you can switch to Barry and start your knife a little bit away and Hold RT and walk to the infected continuing to hold to kill him without triggering a stealth attack. This should be done for any stealth kill opportunity.

5. Knife traps are okay to use and I PERSONALLY did not use the fire trap at all this being that it it makes the berry sections easier and Unlock If not already gotten the Who Needs Fire Achievement. The best way i found to do this section without the fire trap was to switch to moira before you put the cog in and then after the cut scene run to the door and press as soon as the prying animation starts and switch to Claire begin to hold try to keep the zombies off of her till you hear the second beam pop off the door and RUN to the door.

6. During Berry and Natalia First Crawl space/tutorial do not pick up the brick just quickly unlock the door for Berry switch and knife the zombie.

During the first Revenat in the cabin when you first press on the door and Natalia says she saw something MAKE SURE Berry is facing the door the switch to Natalia and look up at the ceiling till the Revenat falls then immediately switch back to Berry and start the prompt and tap as fast as you can you would get past the door without having to fight it. NOW RUN when your in the woods try and stay to the right of the forest you will eventually find your way out. Eventually you will go through a door that will force them to despawn. When you meet the Two Revenats together i bleave Berry Says They're back. Stay Back. You can just run past them and enter the door and they will despawn. During the Crane part basically just try and do everything that you have to do while running by all of the Revenat.

A side Notes is that people say unholtered does not affect the Achievement if the AI using guns just as long as YOU the play doesn't Damage enemies with weapons other than the knife. This Achevment is either supper finicky or Glitched until we hear from Capcom we won't Really know.

I just unlocked the achievement using the above methods but with some clarity. You can pick up items but use the knufe to open crates. Also do not use the flashlight or Natalia's fingerpoint to locate items. Using the knife for grounded finishers works but I did not use stealth kills even though I had the knife. Run if you feel you must!

Ok,so this achievement can look pretty hard,but its not.You just have to play on your second playtrough,and on casual so you don't get in too much trouble.
Claire Campaign:Try to avoid as many enemies as you can,don't turn the flamethrower on in the final scene,do not make any stealth kills or fisical attacks,do not point a gun or the flashlight in any direction.(Don't worry if the CPU does something wrongthe achievement will yet count.)
Barry Campaign:Avoid every Revenat in your way (Except the Revenat in the Cabin).Kill each Zombie you find,dont point a gun or Natalia's finger in any direction,don't make any stealth kills or physical attacks

You can stealth kill people I did 2 by accident still unlocked

You also can use herbs to heal yourself I also didn't see that motioned.

Just wanted to add these few things just incase people were worried because I wasn't sure if I could heal myself either when I started.

Just done this on both versions and it's actually pretty easy as you can run past most enemies.You can pick up any item you want and use herbs as much as you want,stealth kills and ground finishers are fine and won't void the achievement.
If an enemy does get in the way,do slow slashes just in case you accidently press RT and do a follow up attack.While doing the final prison section as claire and moira,get moira to use the crowbar on the door then switch to claire and duck under the spinning blades,this way a lot of the enemies die trying to get at you.
If moira starts struggling,switch places with claire and the enemies should carry on walking into the blades.
Barry and natalya's section is a lot easier,just run through most of the prison section with the exception of stealth killing the second group when the game automatically switches to natalya.
After you kill the first revenant in the next section,the rest of the level can be ran through,just remember to have plenty of herbs handy because they have a habit of grabbing you as you run past unless you dodge at the last minute.If done right the achievement should pop up on the ranking screen.Good luck.

I am not going to repeat what all the other solutions have already outlined as far as advice: it's good advice, read it and take it to heart. That said, I have a tip that I did not see mentioned in any of the other solutions:

Using the Short Sword (unlocked by completing the main campaign on Normal with S rank and shelling out 20k BP, must be equipped at a workbench) DOES NOT void this achievement.

If you are good or persistent enough at this game to unlock the Short Sword, chances are that you already have this achievement so it's probably a moot point, but if you want to make getting this achievement extra easy, this is the way to do it. Short Sword + casual + fully upgraded knife skills allows you to kill absolutely everything with zero effort.

Play as Claire/Barry as much as possible to avoid accidents with the light/crowbar/brick/finger and hold down RT whenever you get close to enemies. When I did this enemies died once they got within a couple feet of me (Ironheads included, don't be afraid to just roll up on them really quick and start knifing, on Casual they will flinch a lot under sustained Short Sword assault, so much so that I found none of them even got a swing off at all, and I killed every single one of them in E1). This also makes the Revenant much easier with Barry since you have sufficient reach to get their weak spots with little effort, just use a non-pointing Natalia to give you the skinny on where to aim in the general direction of; I found that two strikes to that area (once to reveal the weak point, once to hit the weak point) will kill them on casual. Of course general knifefighting advice for this achievement still applies (hold down RT and don't let go until whatever you're knifing is dead to avoid QTE hell).

Finally this takes all the guesswork out of the flamethrower section for Claire/Moira...exterminate any enemies currently in the room with Claire, switch to Moira just long enough to have her get started on the crowbar beams on the door, then while controlling Claire stand your butt on the inside left of the entrance and hold down RT to kill everything that tries to come through the opening. The Ironheads especially have trouble hitting you if you hang out there and all comers will run into a wall of sharp steel when they they try to enter which pretty much prevents enemies from accidentally wandering in and killing themselves on the spinning blade trap.

Some notes on how I was playing when I unlocked the achievement:

1) I did not unequip any of the guns Claire or Barry had equipped. I didn't engage the bugs in the trash compactor prior to giving Moira the boost so there were apparently no problems while Claire was on her own for this part despite 10 or so bugs wandering around (just don't engage the Afflicted while still controlling Moira).
2) I did not avoid picking up items, I picked up all the items from crates that I smashed with the sword or items that were otherwise just laying around.
3) I did not use pointing or the flashlight to reveal sparkle items. I skipped doing this entirely on the advice of guides that came before.
4) I did not activate the flamethrower (in case this was not obvious from what I said above). The added benefit of Barry being able to just leave once the power is turned off makes this a no-brainer.
5) I did not do any stealth kills (again, on the advice of guides that came before).
6) I did not avoid avoid reloading guns. Barry's assault rifle was partially empty from a prior playthrough and I accidentally reloaded which apparently was not an issue.

First of all, it has to be done in a second playthrough because in the first one you are forced to shoot a key in order to grab it.

I have just unlocked this achievement. It was my third attempt, actually. The only enemy I needed to kill was the Revenant in the cabin, in Barry's section. You can (and SHOULD) avoid every other enemy, as well as interacting with anything.

DO NOT:
*Shoot or even point at things with Claire or Barry
*Use Natalia's pointing finger ability
*Use Moira's flashlight to stun enemies
*Use melee attacks with Moira's crowbar
*Click to turn on/off Barry's flashlight

IT IS OKAY IF:
*You pick up green herbs
*You use green herbs to heal your character
*Your AI-controlled partner shoots, stabs or whatever an enemy

These are a few tricky sections with door unlocking involved:
1) With Moira, when you get the crowbar. You don't need to pick it up again because it is already in your inventory, so DO NOT USE YOUR FLASHLIGHT TO REVEAL THE CROWBAR and instead just interact with the door with the button.
2) Again, with Moira, in the flamethrower bust room. You have to interact with the door a couple of times with the button in order to remove two planks from the locked door, so you and Claire can escape from the prison.
3) With Natalia, you have to open a door for Barry using a brick to smash a lock. DO NOT THROW THE BRICK AT THE LOCK. Instead, get close to it, and use the button.

Cutting Edge seems to be a very special achievement, so, the less you interact with things in the game world, the less likely you are going to fuck things up. I avoided every item that wasn't green herbs, and I actually used a couple of them to heal my characters, so this doesn't invalidate the achievement in any way or form.
