Medals are awarded for collecting both gold ingots within a level.
So simply find and collect both in 15 of the 30 levels to get this.
The treasure chests mostly aren't hidden very well, but sometimes are in secret rooms that you often should stumble/fall in accidently by just following the regular path.
Achievements seem not to pop when fulfilling the requitements in this game but when opening the shop page in the menu.
