Same here as race 7
Use the blue car with the white stripe.
Try to steer as little and release the gas if needed. It is ok to bump the border when you come onto the straight , just use your nitro there to blast past the competitors.
All in all , fairly easy , got it on the first try.
Time trial (race 10) is not as easy because the timelimit is fairly tight.
Same car can be used , or you can exchange with one with around the same specs. High speed and nitro every lap is needed to get the 5 laps within the time.

For the time trial I used turbo twice on each lap; once on the top stretch and once to get through the starting line. Just couldn't get it only using turbo at the top.

It is a tight run indeed.
I think this was the one that gave me the most trouble in the time trials.
Nice that your strategy worked. What car did you use ? Not every car can get your nitro bar full twice a lap.
