Couple this with the Smoky achievement.
Assuming you have a decent conditioned vehicle for racing - take that vehicle and get up to speed and drive straight into a wall or rock a few times. Now your vehicle is battered, broken and probably smoking out the front and/or producing dark exhaust. Now go do a race behind the shop. Don't have to win just be sure to complete.

This will only work on the backyard circuit track. It will only work with other racers on the track, so no time trial or practice. Or at least, I had trouble getting it to pop on the drag racing track, and the time trials + practices
