To obtain this achievement you gotta drive 1,000 miles. Any mode counts except for the multiplayer modes. No easy way around this you'll just have to drive a lot.

You might or might not get this before you finish World Xplorer. It all depends on how many times you redo races and whatnot. If you view your stats, it will say how far you have driven in the game.

This Achievement (like the 16,000 KM / 10,000 Miles Driven Achievement and the 800 KM / 500 Miles Driven Achievement) can be obtained through Story Mode (through the Main Races) (Offline).

This Achievement (like the other ones mentioned above) is Cummulative, therefore, it can be obtained Offline or Online (or both), Multi-Player / Split-Screen also counts towards this Achievement.

Correct me if i'm wrong here as I have no way to test this theory. If you can get this via split screen can you not start a 2 player game and tape your accelerator down, put an elastic band on the stick to keep it pushed to the side then go do something else for 50 hours?
