How to unlock the Osbourne achievement in Rift Adventure - Definitive Guide
This should come naturally as you progress through the game.
However, here are some tips to help you along.
- Bats are best attacked directly in front of you. Due to some weird game mechanics, jump attacks from underneath become a bit unpredictable. It is best to lure a bat to the ground level and let it get directly in front of you. If unable, jump attack from distance and try to be level with the enemy before swinging/shooting.
- Bats appear during the invasion sequences. They make an audible chirping sound when they spawn, so you know to keep an eye out for them.
- You can have an infinite number of bats spawn during the first boss stage (level 5). The boss will spawn a bat each time it runs across the stage. Also, the boss has an attack in which it strikes the ground hard (not the one that creates a shockwave). This attack will spawn 1 or 2 additional bats.
FUN FACT: The achievement name, 'Osbourne' is a reference to rocker Ozzy Osbourne, who famously bit the head off a bat during a live performance.
