How to unlock the Ruler of Ruins achievement in Rift Adventure - Definitive Guide
I am just referencing the solution for getting the city to level 5. All of these achievements stack.
I am not sure what the exact formula is for increase your city's level, but if you focus on the following, you should be able to get your city to level 5 (the max, so not sure whey the description says "at least level 5").
IMPORTANT: There is an invasion sequence on day 20 (right before the last boss). If you lose at this section, your town will be downgraded and you won't have a chance to bring it back up again before the end. Make sure you don't lose too much health at the stage before (19) and ensure you have a stock of health items. Also, if you are losing the invasion, you can choose 'restart' on the menu to start over. It will start you with the amount of health you entered with. However, any items you use won't be replenished.
General tips to leveling up your city:
- Avoid using Glenn's shop. These purchases don't add to the city's prosperity, so don't shop there. There is an achievement for avoiding his shop anyways.
- Try to buy an equipment item each day. It seems that the town can go down a level by simply not continuing to spend. As a general rule, I would buy one new equipment item each day. Replaying old stages doesn't progress days, so you can replay the first stage over and over if you need extra coins.
-Do not lose on invasions. This will cause your city level to drop. Refer to the note above on tips to avoid losing at invasions. (If you lose and invasion and your town doesn't go down a level, it is because you had spent enough money the previous day to increase the level, and two cancel each other out).
As long as you have a town at level 5 before the final boss fight, you are set.
