How to unlock the Dark and quiet achievement in RiME - Definitive Guide

1st Level Denial

In the giant Monolith, you'll enter an area where you'll see the silhouetted character staring at you from a distance. Follow the staircased path in front of you (Be careful not to fall, this area is very very dark, I set my in-game brightness to MAX to see perfectly) In this area you are going to run past multiple statues to make them light up (DO NOT SCREAM AT THEM) .. Make sure all of them are LIT and then run around where you saw the silhouetted character and you will unlock the achievement. rock

You are half right.
The key points are to not shout (as mentioned) and to not jump.
Also, lighting the statues is irrelevant to this achievement (you’re thinking of The path to light).

Just to add on here - you can actually get both this achievement and The Path of Light together. I just did both and walked around the labyrinth to light all of the lights up there. Then I jumped across to the hidden area with the last couple of lights and the white shade, and popped The Path of Light. Then I jumped back across from that hidden area and walked to the exit. When I exited the labyrinth, this achievement also popped. So apparently when you jump to the part with the white shade, and jump back out, it does not void this achievement. :) I didn't jump anywhere else in the labyrinth though, or yell at anything.

I do not agree with other solutions, You are not allowed to sing or press cn_Y but you can jump and still get the achievement.

I got this achievement combining with path of light and jumped a few times when it was necessary to light up the statues in a room on the right side. I did not jump unnecessarily or across the platform.

Both the achievements should unlock, once you enter the door in the center.

Please confirm in the comments, if you also unlocked both the achievements together and jumping did not effect this achievement.
Thanks

I missed this achievement on my first playthrough so I can't confirm if both can unlike simultaneously with this method, but I can confirm that jumping doesn't affect it. I turned my brightness all the way up and just ran through the maze jumping a couple times- it unlocked when I reached the door.

I can confirm. Got both achievements and I did jump a few times. In fact, one has to jump to get all the statues lit in the room that is on the outside of the ring

. Not sure if that's a spoiler or not, but I thought I'd be safe.

I jumped all over the outside area and ignored the natural paths to the statues. Still unlocked along with the lighting all of them up one.

I even accidentally pressed Y and hummed (thankfully didn't yell).

-( This is a chapter-specific trophy and can be unlocked during: Chapter 1 )-

This trophy can be synonymous with:
RiMEThe path of lightThe The path of light trophy in RiME worth 19 pointsBring light to the labyrinth of darkness.

As you make your way deeper into the tower, following the teasings of the caped silhouette, you will come across a darkened room where the floor lights up beneath your step. The floor is a labyrinth, hiding pitfalls within the shadows, and your only savior lies in the illumination as you walk and in the statues that glow after you've neared them. To obtain this trophy, you must light up ALL of the statues within the labyrinth and its connecting room WITHOUT yelling.

For that reason, I would suggest that you go into Settings and temporarily raise it up as high as you can, so you can see your way.

You may also notice that there is another room connected to this in your journey around the room. If you head in there, you will find a few more statues that are necessary for this trophy as well as one of the meetings with the white silhouette for:
RiMESweet MemoryThe Sweet Memory trophy in RiME worth 134 pointsReunite with the white shade.

Once you believe that you've lit up every statue, head to where the caped silhouette was standing and enter the room beyond where it stood to save your progress.

At the end of Chapter 1, you come to a dark room with a maze of platforms and steps. You need to get to the exit (in the centre) without making a noise. Don't press button or jump across gaps and you will make no noise. I found going to settings and turning brightness up to maximum made this easier to navigate.

Stage 1: Denial

While in the labyrinth, you will have to make it to the center of the labyrinth where the shade in the red cloak is standing, without screaming () or jumping. You can go for this at the same time as going for the trophy The Path of Light as you don't need to scream at the statues in order to get that trophy either. Credit to Killbomb for the point about not jumping.

Complete the staircase maze at the end of the first chapter.
We just run to the right to the top in the center of the staircase maze.
You cannot scream or jump; lighting idols has no effect.

You can jump, especially since there is a secret with a white shadow in the nook. The main thing is not to press

Can be combined with receiving the trophy The path of light / Path of light : statues light up when approaching them; this way there is no need to shout.

Yes, you can jump. The trophy drops as soon as you enter the tower in the center.
