How to unlock the Sweet Memory achievement in RiME - Definitive Guide
You can get this in one playthrough, however if you have finished the game or missed any locations you can use stage select to find them. The game saves each encounter with the White Shade instantly, so you can return to the title screen as soon as you get a location.
Once you have all 4, you can simply use stage select to replay "Acceptance" and the achievement will unlock when you sit on the bed.

-( Chapter 1 )-
During the labyrinth of darkness, you will find a room disconnected from the walkway. If you jump over to it, you will find the shade whispering to you in this room. This location is near the end of the chapter.
-( Chapter 2 )-
After releasing the clouds from the second land windmill (the one where you have to climb up the wood planks), head behind it and then follow the cliff until you come to the sand where some ship refuse can be found. The shade can be found underneath a ship outline.
-( Chapter 3 )-
After creating your Sentinel, follow it until you're able to jump, from above, onto the sun platform. Through jumping off of this, you'll be able to reach the fourth room that was previously unreachable to you from the other sides. Stand near the edge and shout to get the motion totem to stare at you and cast a shadow over the door, opening it and allowing you to proceed to the white shade.
-( Chapter 4 )-
After you have succumbed to being a Shade, proceed forward. After you cross the bridge, you should see a small gap between the procession of other Shades. Push your way through and you will find the white shade there.
The trophy won't unlock until you go through Chapter 5. Should you have done everything correctly, when you finish that chapter, you'll have an alternate ending.
Find four White Shades hidden in game. There is one each in Chapters 1, 2 , 3, and 4. The achievement won't unlock until the end of the game.
There are a total of 4 white shades that you will have to find in RiME, one in each stage. They are always located near the end of each of the stages. After you’ve found all 4 white shades, play the ending stage (Acceptance) and play all the way to the credits and your trophy will pop. After you have encountered a white shade the game will automatically save, so you can skip around and collect the white shades then proceed to the final stage.
Stage 1 - Denial: During the Labyrinth portion at the end of this stage, you will see a staircase unattached from the labyrinth leading up into a cave in the wall. This cave is dark, and the white shade is located at the opposite end. There will be platforms separating you from the white shade. There will be 3 statues that will be on 3 different platforms that will light up as you get near them. These will show you where the platforms are at that you will need to jump on in order to get to the first white shade.
Stage 2 - Anger: After you activate the third windmill, if you go from right to left, this white shade will be located at the end of this stage as well. After you've activated the windmill, go back to the start of this area and you will see a broken, hollowed out boat flipped upside down. This boat is located in a small patch of area with light, but you won't get attacked by the bird in this area. Go towards the boat and you will see the white shade inside of it. Go up to it and interact with it to obtain the second white shade.
Stage 3 - Bargaining: You will be able to obtain this white shade after you have built the sentinel. You will have to follow the sentinel back to the beginning area where the first sentinel died. Before you get to it, you will be in an area where there is a pillar in the middle of a grassy area (one of the adjacent rooms to it has the sentinel head lodged inside a tree). At the top of this area will be an orb that will emit light. The room containing the shade is located on the top left room up there. In order to gain access to that room, the sentinel will step on a pad unlocking the elevator to go up there. Once there, jump on the center platform but do not pick up the orb or you will have to restart this chapter. Instead, jump to the left side and turn and face the pillar. Scream at the pillar in order to make it turn towards you, which will block out the light and open the wall up. Follow this newly opened passageway to the end and you will interact with the third white shade.
Stage 4 - Depression: At the end of this stage, after you've completed the statue, you will transform into a shade and be allowed to progress through the path that was blocked by dark shades. Before you enter the dark cavern at the end of this passage (right before the entrance way there), turn to your left and make your way through the dark shades. It may take some pushing in order to get through. Once through, follow the new path that you just went through to the end and you will find the fourth and final white shade.
Stage 5 - Acceptance: Just play through to the end, and before the credits roll, your trophy will pop.
