How to unlock the Rogue Wave achievement in Riptide GP: Renegade - Definitive Guide

If you want to unlock this achievement right away, just start up a quick race on the ruins. In quick races, all stunts are unlocked no matter what level you are in the career. Once you get to the big waves near the start of the race just do a level 10 stunt of your choice, you can find the controls for them by pausing the game and going over to the Trick List. I had to restart the race one or two times before I got the timing right on a big wave, but once you get enough air the achievement is simple.

I had to do it twice, but it worked. First time the sticker was unlocked and the 2nd time the achievement. Thanks.

To make this easier, buy the Log Roll stunt so you can grab this achievement and the following achievement if you wish to get them quicker. A very easy stunt to pull off in The Ruins, as the waves that you encounter early on will catapult you high in the air.

There are two wave stages ear the start of the race. I used the first set to build up some boost (theres a ramp at the end of the first stage if you have no luck with the waves). The first stage leads through into a small route through buildings before you enter the second stage of waves.

You want to go a little wide in the first turn here ( just makes alignment in the end easier) then about halfway through the waves activate your boost. The most consistently large wave is the last one you will hit. Should give you enough time in the air to complete the stunt. It may take one or two runs if you get a little unlucky with wave bounces on your way to the final one.

As Darnok stated this can be done sooner if you go to quick race on The Ruins.

You will unlock these stunts once you reach level 10. They are the most difficult stunts in the game, but they will also grant you the most boost when performed. It is hard to give a proper strategy as the waves are random. However once you have gained some experience on when you can perform the level 10 stunts you should not have much difficulty with this trophy. This should come naturally while playing through the story. If it happens that you have not earned it once you have got three stars in each event you should be able to earn the trophy within a few tries.

If you are doing this in career then you will first have to unlock a level 10 stunt by reaching the level 10. Some of the stunts are more difficult than others I found doing a triple forward flip the best. Unfortunately, the waves come randomly so you may gain this naturally while playing through the story. Or you can start up a quick race on the ruins. In quick races, all stunts are unlocked no matter what level you are in the career. The waves appear near the start of the level so you can restart if you get a big enough wave straight away. Here is a video if you need it thanks to Lombax & Lunchbox.
