How to unlock the Life Saver achievement in Rise of the Ronin - Definitive Guide
In this guide we will show you how to complete a "No-Kill Mission" to earn the "Life Saver" Trophy in Rise of the Ronin.
In Rise of the Ronin it is not "mandatory" to kill your opponents, as you can use wooden weapons or even your bare hands to win a matchup.
In fact, some missions have an optional objective that asks you not to kill enemies. The first of these missions is called "Peace Negotiations" and is one of Rear Admiral Matthew Perry's "Bond Missions". If you complete this mission while completing the objective, you will earn the "Life Saver" Trophy.
The first thing to do is to make sure you are equipped with a wooden weapon. So once you equip one, go to the "Basamichi" province in the first map of the game. Once you arrive at the port you will find that some samurai are skirmishing with the American soldiers. Select the "Time to bury the hatchet. Perry's orders" option if you have raised your "Speechcraft" level, then take out the three samurai using your wooden sword.

Handy one oto get, hardest part of it was the stupid markers and trying to figure out how to get around the boat. The game is decent but goddammit the quest markers are all over the place and I spend most of my time with the stupid horse stuck in a corner.

In order to unlock the 'Life Saver' trophy, you need to finish one of the non-lethal missions. First, check out our guide on How to fight bare-handed in Rise of the Ronin. You can also equip wooden swords, if you have them, and they will also work in a non-lethal way. There is a Bond mission called “In Search of New Knowledge,” which you do for Yukichi Fukuzawa. You will likely unlock this trophy just by playing through the main story and doing some of the Bond missions, but if you missed it then use the Testament of Soul to replay it. Once you have completed this mission, this trophy will then unlock.

If you cut someone at least once, the trophy will not fall out

To obtain it, you need to complete any quest that, as an additional condition, offers to do without unnecessary sacrifices. The Peace Negotiations Communications task / Peace Negotiations in Yokohama, which will be given by Marcus Samuel after the storming of the US Consulate, is perfect (you first need to help him clear the coal mine and return his suit). You will be required to beat up three extremely weak citizens who are causing disturbances in the port area. During the mission, it is better to beat the adversaries with your bare fists, because any careless poke with a wooden weapon is considered a fatal finishing blow. The second great place is the story quest Hidden Motives / Hidden motives .
