How to unlock the The Completionist achievement in River City Girls 2 - Definitive Guide

Please note: I played this game on PS5, i don't have it on Xbox. I unlocked this trophy there however. This is my solution for the achievement/trophy guide I copied over from truetrophies.com

So here is the definite 100% completion guide.

1. Finish the regular first walkthrough
while also completing EVERY SIDEQUEST along the way. They are marked with a question mark on the map. As long as you check every mark, none of themn is missable.
This includes the side quests for the collectible items. Each of them also give an achievement/trophy
  • Find every cat around town for the cat cafe [start the quest in Uptown]
  • Find every selfie spot in town and do a selfie. There is one spot per Area. Quest can be started in Uptown in the Resting Area
  • Find all tarot cards scattered around town
Check THIS LINK for video guides of all the collectibles in game. Provided by trueachievements user Zasta 360gamestv

2. Beat the New Game +
  • If you already did all collectibles in your first run, you don't need to repeat them.
  • Although NG+ has its own collectibles: 12 gears scattered around town.
  • But you still need to do all the OTHER SIDEQUESTS A SECOND TIME also
3. Max Out one at least one character.
This means, leveling him/her up to LVL 30

4. Buy EVERY MOVE for EVERY CHARACTER in the Dojo.
To unlock all available moves, that character must reach LVL 12. Remember, Characters you don't use actively still get XP indirectly and level up indirectly as you play through the game rspectively NG+. So neither leveling every character to LVL 12 is a big problem, nor gathering the money to buy the moves.

5. Find every secret screen in the game.
There is one secret screen per area.

6. Use every CONSUMABLE ITEM at least once.
Consumable items boost your stats in different categories, when you use them for the first time. These boni are listed next to the item in the shops. Once consumed, the stat boost will be not displayed again. Consumable items are usually food items. However, these items also count as such
  • books from the bookstore in downtown
  • the potions from the secret shop in the woods in Flatirons
  • the items from the pharmacy in downtown
  • as well as the items you can buy in the schools restroomThe items from Enokis Foodtruck. His truck will appear random around the city after you have beaten the restaurant chef boss in Ocean Heights. Easiest trick to get to the food truck. Go to the hideout in Capitol Ave. (Crosstown) and Save & Exit to the titlescreen. Reload the save and go outside. If the truck is there, it will appear on the right side in front of the house. If it is not there, repeat the Save & Exit method until the truck appears in front of the house.
7. Get EVERY recruit
  • This includes EVERY COLOR VARIANT of the regular enemies
  • Also the recruits you can hire at least ONCE. Some of them are unlocked by beating sidequests or finding the secret screens
8. Have obtained or bought every accessory item
Most accessory items can be bought in shops. While others are awarded for progressing in the game, including side quests. This also includes the records from both record shops (Crosstown mall and Flatirons Camping site)

Do you have to recruit all enemies/hired allies in NG+? I've collected all the enemies in my first play through and missing the last three that you have to hire (the two from Guilty Gear for finding all the gears in NG+ and the last one which is a nod to Cat Girl Without Salad: Amuse-Bouche)

Does anyone know, for certain, what the maximum percentage should be before starting NG+? I think I got everything except the NG+ stuff (2 recruits, 12 gears, completion). It's looking like it's 90%

Is it safe to complete NG+ first and then mop up after? Or will completing NG+ end the game?

Slysy, you can still loiter after you finish NG+ - dont worry.

I am stuck on 99% with all side quests done, all characters maxed at 30 with max stats (consumed all the stat boosting consumables etc). found all collectibles, recruited all henchmen..... not sure what I have missed.

I have all the other achievements so have all the other collectibles done.

I don't know if this only happened to me but after doing everything the achievement didn't pop until I backed out to the main menu and went back into file select, once the save file was on screen with 100% showing this is when the achievement popped.

Also, @LostTemplar62, I didn't have to re-recruit all of the colour variants, once you get to the bookstore safehouse in downtown all the ones found on the first playthrough should be there

GOT IT! After hours of playing and recruiting all hired recruits and re-checking shops after beating New Game Plus, I found I missed 1 accessory (the Lantern) and 1 Consumable (a book).

There are a total of 51 accessories: 9 from completing quests (side or main) and 42 in shops, with 9 sold in more than one shop (the Coin Purse, Goth Shirt, Multitool, Padlock Bra, Smart Watch, Teen Magazine, and Virtual Pet are available in 2 shops each; the Vampire Teeth and Scissors are on 3 shops each).

I also explored all of the maps, which included he Secret Rooms, and the Party Room, which is locked until you beat the game on New Game Plus, located at the top of Sanwakai Tower.

Text guide (en).
1. Complete your first playthrough
completing all side quests. They are marked with a question mark on the map and as long as you visit each of them, you will not miss anything.
Among them there are a number of quests to collect collectibles. Each is associated with a different trophy.

Playlist (en) with collecting all the items:
2. Complete New Game+
  • If you have already collected all the collectibles, then there is no need to do it a second time.
  • However, in NG+ there are 12 collectible gears that unlock two additional recruits. See Gimme a break...
  • You need to complete all the standard side quests again

3. Level up at least one character to the maximum.
Maximum level 30
4. Buy all the moves for each character in the Dojo.
All techniques become available from level 12. There is no need to level up each one separately; they all indirectly receive quest rewards, including level and money. By the end of the second playthrough, everyone will be level 30 and have enough money in hand to purchase all the moves.
5. Find all the secret rooms in the game.
One per location. See Funktasmic!
6. Eat every consumable item in the game at least once.
The consumable item increases your skills the first time you use it. Which parameter it improves will be indicated in the lower right corner of the item in the shop. After consumption, the inscription disappears. Usually this is food, although the following options also come across:
  • Books in “Downtown”
  • Medicines from the secret shop in Flatirons. See Cryptid Corner .
  • Items from the pharmacy in “Downtown”.
  • Everything that is sold in the school toilet (however)
  • Items from Enokis food truck. His van will start randomly appearing in different places after defeating the boss in Ocean Heights.

7. Recruit every mercenary
  • You need to recruit every enemy in every possible color . The list of those already recruited can be viewed in the shelter.
  • You need to hire every paid recruit at least once. Some open after side quests, some become available after visiting secret rooms.

8. Buy all accessories
Most are sold in stores. Some are given as rewards for completing the story and side quests. Music records also count (bought at Crosstown and Flatirons).

It happened to me that I did everything described above and it was still 99%. It turns out I missed the penthouse in the final tower, it is not marked in any way. After the last boss - I returned to the tower and went into the left elevator, then returned to the shelter and went to the main menu with saving - the slot immediately showed 100 percent and the trophy fell out
