How to unlock the Fashionable Beatdown achievement in River City Girls - Definitive Guide
(I have this unlocked on the WIN10 version, just posting solution to help)
Hibari is the third boss in River City Girls, and is quite overpowered for the stage of
the game you're in, she's definitely the hardest boss in the game. I'm usually not a fan of using healing items but, for a boss like this, I'd recommend you bring some, I brought some Boba Tea from the shop closest to the food court exit (Keep going left from the fashion shop).
Now onto the boss, she has three phases, like most. The first phase she'll shoot orbs at you, which if you get hit by one, you're pretty much gonna get juggled, so be careful. You also have to balance out the two girls she spawns in at the left and right too occasionally.
At some point after a few attacks, she'll start summoning a needle, what the game wants you to do here is to have the needle ricochet back into her. The best position to do this is ALWAYS the corners. Once she's about to lunge it, run, and it'll go back into her no problem.
Then start beating her, use whatever attacks, I just did XXXY, if there's a method that deals more damage comment it, but anyway, one thing to note about her is that you can still attack her once she's knocked down, so once you hit that Y, keep going, she'll take the hits.
During the 2nd phase, she'll summon these floating bundles of red wool (let's just call them red blobs) and another needle attack. The best way to deal with the red blobs is just to jump and hit X, be careful doing this. The new needle attack is that you'll see the outline of where the needle is going, and you have to dodge it. It's as simple as that, as long as you can take care of the delinquents.
The 3rd phase is the same, just including another more elaborate orb move, which you'll just have to get lucky with.
When the boss is in a corner, it's possible to wall jump and hit her with a Y move in the air, damaging her and cancelling the attack, however this is risky, if she starts it right before you attack, you'll both take damage. Wall jump attack her with caution.
