How to unlock the Like Father Like Daughter achievement in River City Girls - Definitive Guide
This achievement is for beating the final BOSS, and it will unlock after the cutscene that follows your victory.
If you came here from the walkthrough for some tips, then my best advice is to stick to 3-hits at a time when damaging her. Any more and you're very likely to be blocked and or countered and lose 1-3 slivers of health.
I recommend going to pick up some Lasagne (75% healing) from the pasta place on the docks as this fight is much easier with healing items. If you've got the cash, go get some. If not, I’d strongly consider grinding out trash mobs to get some so you can bring some healing with you.
In each of her 4 phases she will spend much of her time following you around, teleporting short distances to catch up with you, just keep moving away and circling back to her, getting in 3-hits and moving away. This will likely be your main source of damage on her.
In between each phase she jumps out of the arena and spawns in some Yakuza's that are fairly trivial. Keep in mind that after you've smacked them with combo's maybe 2 or 3 times that Sabuko is likely to jump down - get ready move/jump/dodge/run out the way to avoid a cheap shot from her.
Sooner or later she will do a move where she spawns copies of herself standing all around the map in a nice neat grid. Make sure to find the one that isn't moving, and smack them (3 times remember) and keep moving. If you don't get to her in time she will likely get a big hit on you. This is often a good source of dps for you as she does this move often, so make the most of it.
She does have a diving sword attack but it is pretty well telegraphed and fairly easy to avoid by jumping/running away. She doesn't do it that often.
After you've cleared phase 3, get ready to be incredibly frustrated. She has a bunch of attacks in this secret phase 4 where she is invulnerable - BE PATIENT. She does some annoying blue magic slashes, throwing out a trail of blue projectile dust. She can't be damaged whilst casting this attack, but she can be just after it if you're quick. Be advised she tends to cast it over and over again - meaning your window of attack can be basically nil. Approach with caution - consider just avoiding her all together until she stops.
She also has an attack where she dives in to the air in the center and spawns a bunch of blue bouncing projectiles (water? acid? who knows..). They will bounce around a few times and disappear. She tends to follow you whilst they're bouncing, teleporting to catch up with you periodically. I found it really tricky to avoid these damn things. You're best bet to get some damage in when this happens is to get in the middle, right in her face and start hitting her for all you're worth (more than 3 times, just go for it). The bouncing blue projectiles tend to bounce outward so you will likely avoid them. If you get caught around the outside of the arena just focus on avoiding everything, but you will probably get hit.
She has 3 fire attacks.
1) Hadoken style fireball. Same as the regular Yakuza enemies. Easy to avoid.
2) Ground pulse-wave. She will go yellow, and stand still charging up a floor pulse-wave. Get away from her, she is invulnerable during this action. Jump over the pulse in her direction though and go in for a 3-hit combo and retreat.
3) Twin fire tornados. They bump around the room, gently tracking you. She will begin the following routine. Concentrate on avoiding the fire, only go for damage if a good window opens up.
BEST OF LUCK.
