This bugged for me. The other 7 achievements for starting adventures popped when they were supposed to, but I completely finished the second adventure and this still hadn't popped. I closed the game down, went back in, and it popped at the right time then. Just leaving this here in case it happens to anyone else and they're confused.

Similar to the comment from thanatos8285 on the other solution, this achievement wouldn't unlock for me. However, reloading the game/adventure didn't work for me. I ended up clearing my local save data and it unlocked after starting the adventure again.
