The wording on this is a bit literal - when it says "Finish the game with Buddybot equipped", it actually means holding the Buddybot when you fire the last bullet into IRIS.
If you're already using the Buddybot, you know that it's quite OP from giving it "Fantastic" status in the Oasis level, so for the second stage of IRIS' fight, whittle them down to about 25%, then prioritize damage with the Buddybot. Don't switch to your other weapon at any point, and if you're prone to overheating, keep your abilities on check and spam them.

Ext. thoughts, but I think people are confusing this for a glitch when in reality, there's two layers to the achievement desc.

i just used the buddy bot as my primary weapon the whole game, i used the class with the drones, and pumped all my level ups into firerate, and elemental damage, and upgraded the buddy bot at every step i could.
