You have to beat the Impossible Bass Challenge for this achievement. However, note how the achievement description never states what difficulty.
This, like all the other non-secret "beat xxx impossible challenge" achievements, do not require you to beat them on Expert. You can beat them on any of the four difficulties.
Also, you don't have to even be playing bass or have unlocked the challenge in order to beat it. I'll explain. I got this achievement by joining up with another band and we tackled the Impossible Bass Challenge together from the last song (Panic Attack by Dream Theater). I wasn't actually a part of the band's roster at this point. I was playing bass and we beat the song. I got the achievement and so did everyone else (guitar, vocals, and drums).
So, you can play this in multiplayer and play as something that isn't the bass and still get the achievement. If you have some friends that have gone through the challenges and have the Impossible ones unlocked, you can use their band in order to beat them without having to unlock them yourself.

Probably the easiest out of all the Impossible Challenges. Play through the Bass Challenges until you get the Impossible Bass Challenge. Beat it on any difficulty for achievement. Will have tips for for all Impossible Challenges soon. Sit tight.

This setlist has all the hardest bass songs in the game in one setlist. It sounds pretty tough but the catch is it doesn't have to be done on expert. Do it on easy if you'd like. That goes for all the Impossible challenges. First you have to play the "Fender Warmup" challenge. Then after thats beaten you will unlock two new challenges the Bass and Guitar Apprentice. Beat the Bass Apprentice and you will unlock the next tier of bass challenges. Beat that to unlock the next one etc. etc. You will eventually unlock the Impossible Bass challenge beat it on whatever difficulty you want and you will get the trophy and Punk Ultimate Outfit for your character.
