Play Space Oddity by David Bowie. It has 2 clapping sessions with 4 circles and they are extremely easy to hit... But you can easily get this achievement by using any other song that has a percussion section.

This one is an easy 10 Gamerscore once you know what to do. When you are singing, sometimes, there will be parts where there will be circles. Just hit your microphone against your hand to when the circles pass by. To get this acheivement, hit all the circles in a section that has them.

There are several songs you can do this on, but the one I recommend is Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet. It has several short section that is easy to nail even if you have bad timing.

The Jet song is a great option if you have the RB1 songs. One of the percussion sections is right at the start so you can nail it straight away (although the achievement doesn't drop until you finish the song)

When playing Vocals, there will be sections during some songs where there is no singing. Instead, you will see circles coming along the vocal track in time with the beat of the song.

Hit the microphone with your hand when the circles cross the strike line. You will hear a tamborine/cowbell/etc if done correctly or the circle will go red if you miss.

Simply hit all these circles in one song section to unlock the achievement. Your percentage of circles hit will be shown during the section.

On Vocals, any difficulty, you will possibly come across a section with gray circles right in the middle of the vocal track. You'll notice the arrow on the left that signified your pitch is now an open circle. When the gray circles pass through this open circle, either hit the mic against your hand or other body part, or make a clicking sound with your tongue (if you are playing guitar and vox, this is a good option), or hit A on the controller.

A good song to do this on that is simple to sing on easy is I Wanna Be Sedated. At roughly 2:30 minutes long, it repeats the same pitches throughout the song, and near the end you will come across a small set of about 9 tambourine, or gray circle, hits. Just hit these perfectly, and finish the song, and you will get the achievement.

Can't carry a tune on the easiest difficulty and fail out before you even reach the percussion section in a song (like me)? Then you might want to "buy" your achievement and try this song:

"Thank You Boys" by Jane's Addiction

As soon as the song starts, you will need to play every single percussion note on the screen by tapping the microphone against a solid object (i.e. the palm of your hand). When the percussion section ends, all you need to do is say "Thank You Boys" and then the song ends. The achievement will unlock on the song summary screen.

Download links:
"Thank You Boys" by Jane's Addiction (single)
OR
Nothing's Shocking (Album) (includes "Thank You Boys" and 10 other songs from the Nothing's Shocking album by Jane's Addiction. The only song NOT included in the album download is "Mountain Song," found on the Rock Band 2 disc.)

For the ultimate in lazy, this can be done with a turbo controller with the A button turbo'd.

Pick any song with percussion from the ones suggested in other guides - or get it along with
Rock Band 3The Endless Setlist IIIThe The Endless Setlist III achievement in Rock Band 3 worth 189 pointsSucessfully complete "The Endless Setlist III!"
like I did while you sleep. Don't forget to enable No Fail mode.

In either case, the achievement pops on the recap screen after you complete the song.

The song I would advise for this is Rock Lobster because it has a couple of very short (around 10 claps long) percussion sections. They are both near the beginning so if you miss both, you can always restart the song.

Also, no fail mode does not affect this achievement so if you like, you can hit the percussion section then leave the song to play. The achievement will pop at the end of the song, at the score screen.

Percussion sections are when small circles appear on the vocal track and you have to hit the microphone in time with them.

Please note that this has to be done on vocals and not harmonies as there are no percussion sections when singing on harmonies.

Percussion section is that part where you have to tap the mic to hit the circle notes on vocals.

The percussion sections (where you tap the mic in time with the tambourine/cowbell/hand claps) show up on standard vocals and can be done on any difficulty. You will probably get this over the course of going for Vocal Apprentice, but if you don’t Are You Gonna Be My Girl (RB1) has some very short sections at the start, as does Space Oddity.
