There are 2 easy methods to this achievement, you can either wait until your first 2 albums have gone gold and then play a poster gig with these songs; "Dirty Little Secret", "Sk8r Boi" and "All The Small Things", these are the easiest songs as they're all heavily chorded so you'll rack up the 999 combo by the middle of the second song. Some people mess up on the solo sections, just hold down any notes and strum like crazy this will keep your combo in one piece.

Alternatively you can play "Am I Evil?" on easy and still manage to hit the 999 combo.

If you're up to it, you can play a gig with 'Given Up' and 'Bad Reputation' on Hard Drums. Both are Tier 1 songs and very easy. Given Up has around 860 notes so if you hit them all, this achievement should pop up in the first half of Bad Reputation.

Easily done on Pull Me Under on Medium, although you need to basically FC it. 999 note comes not to far from the end. There are no hard parts on medium on this song.
