To get this, you need to play the band mode online. Unfortunately, the online mode is pretty dead, so you'll need a boosting partner.
The good news is that you only need two people. Each person can plug in two guitars and a drum controller and play an unranked game. (Ranked games do not allow you to sign in guests.) There's no failing out, so one person can sit there while the other person hits one note and wins.

Side note: Both players need to have a Gold account. You cannot use 2-Day/7-Day/14-Day/1 Month Trials as you cannot have Guest accounts in Gold Trials.

rover08 gave me a brilliant strategy when we boosted this achievement:
First, make sure that you & your boosting partner both have 3 controllers. (Doesn't matter if they're instruments or regular controllers).
Second, sign in the extra 2 controllers as guests.
Third, do a search for a Band Battle & you'll be set.
