I tried this last night and it works.
For those of you that don't want to subject your local friends to this sub par take on gh/rock band...
-Start a local co-op game.
-You play guitar.
-Plug in another guitar controller and put it on bass (no one has to be playing)
-Blitzkrieg Bop is said to be the shortest song (but play whatever you want)
- if you put difficulty on beginner, your empty bass controller will not have enough notes to fail out.
-achievement unlocked when you complete the song.

it works but im curious since i havent tried it the other way but would it be switched around as there is more bass then guitar in this song?

if you are like me and you cant find someone to downgrade themselves and play this, just plug in a second controller for bass, pick the song skater boi, and put both controllers on easy. As long as you can play guitar on beginner you will never have to hit a note on your second controller and still pass with out a problem
