You don't have to play the whole song to get this, nor do you have to play on drums or guitar. Choose to start and end at the intro of a song with bass on expert difficulty at half speed for an easy way to get the achievement. A recommended song would be Sk8er Boi since it uses 3 buttons in this instrument & difficulty.

I got this achievement a long time ago, but it's nice to know now that you don't have to play the whole song to get it.
