How to unlock the GG achievement in Rocket League - Definitive Guide

LAZY SOLO METHOD, ONE CONTROLLER:

You do not need a second controller, nor do you need to ensure a 1-1 or 2-2 score before heading into overtime, nor do you need to play in the AquaDome.

• Exhibition Match with one controller
• Game Mode/Arena: ANY
• Team Size: 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 (anything other than 1v1)
• Bot Difficulty: NO BOTS
• Match Length: 5 MINUTES

It's you alone because there are no bots, but you'll get the MVP award because you set the team size larger than 1v1. Wait 5 minutes doing nothing, so the score will be 0-0 heading into overtime. After overtime starts, score a goal.

It's as simple as that. The achievement will pop at the scoreboard.

Came here to check if its glitched, then spotted you say it can be done offline, will give it a go and report back cause I've got this a few times online and no achievement pops. Fingers crossed.

This wouldn't unlock for me in a local match with a 2nd controller. Therefore, I started a 2vs 2 match with bots, obviously on the easiest difficulty. During the first 5 minutes, score a goal, have a few clear balls, anything to make you the MVP. Make sure to end with 1-1 or 2-2 as score. Score own goals if you have to. Them go into overtime and either let your teammate score or score the final goal yourself.

You can of course also try this in a public match though I found this much easier.

Also I played on Aquadome just to be sure.

What about 1v1? Would that not work?

I went with 2v2 and it worked fine with this method.

How'd you get an assist with a stupid AI? :P

MVP is not awarded in 1v1, bots or humans.

This worked perfectly for me.
Score on youre own net and then score on opponents to make sure you have points, defend your net, and the opponents net if necessary against your ai teammate, and simply score the goal in overtime if it will give you the leading points position

I found this easier with a 2nd (inactive) controller for your teammate, that way it is easier to ensure an even score without babysitting the AI as much. The rookie bots on the other team may score on themselves though...

Perhaps its got fixed quickly but I managed to get this in a 2v2 with 2 controllers and no bots.
(1goal and unlimited boost was set)

just for the record, the first time I tried it I did try a 1v1 but that didn't work, so i did it in a 2v2 instead

Yup, but I went for the score, assist and save achievement at the same time.

Just unlocked this achievement by starting a 2v2 match with 2 controllers & no bots place each controller on a different team and ensure that the game goes to overtime. When overtime starts move the guest onto the player who is getting the achievements team and score.

Easiest way to do this is to play a local exhibition 1v1 match with normal settings without adding any bots. Hit the ball to start the game clock, then let the 5 minutes run out. Once overtime starts, score to win instantly and be awarded MVP.

Your tip is very good, but the MVP award is only granted in 2v2 matches and that's the only way I managed to get the trophy

Start an Exhibition match of 2v2 against no bots. Wait until the time expires and score a goal in overtime.

NOTE: This will not work if you have the game set to to 1v1.

This is a really easy trophy. Simply start a match and sit idle until the game enters overtime, then go ahead and score a goal. The game mode needs to be set as 2v2 for this to work but you don't need a second player on your team.

If there is a second pad, we connect both to one team, wait for extra time and score a goal.

With 3v3 noob bots, you score against them and yourself, as long as there is a draw in the main game. We score in the extra and get mvp and a trophy. Naturally, you should have more points than your partners.

FTP ps4 version. The trophy only dropped with real players in competitive mode. On FTP, the Xbox crashed during the training phase with bots at the beginning of the game.
