How to unlock the Trifecta achievement in Rocket League - Definitive Guide

I completed this in a 2v2 private match with two controllers and no bots. Put both controllers on one team. Use the profile going for the achievement to first score a goal. Then use that profile to push the ball towards the goal and use the second controller to score for an assist. Finally, change the second controller to orange team, use it to take a shot on the goal and save the shot with the profile going for the achievement.

Popped as soon as the last one was completed. I can't remember if I had any mutators adjusted from default.

Just got it now the 2 controller method. Weird that it didn't pop with both the legit ones with the AI.

Worked perfectly Fourth Hunter! Upvoted and thanks a ton bruv!

Robbert DHT - I can only assume the game is simply glitchy. Rocket League is no stranger to glitchy achievements.

But I'm glad this method works, even if the legit method gave Robbert DHT grief.

Yes, you can. Not sure what you are doing, but it is entirely possible to put two controllers on the same team against a team of zero.

^ It won't put you on the same team if you're playing 1v1, change it to 2v2. Simples. :)

I added 2v2 to the solution for clarification.

Works with 2 controllers. Make sure to do 2v2. 1v1 will not allow both controllers on same team. Also the save will not count if you do not swutch the 2nd controller to the opposite team, after getting the assist.

Tried it legit twice cause I was going for the MVP overtime one. Once at Snowday, the other at Aquadome, got a save, assist, goal and MVP for overtime victory but no achievements. Did you leave the mutators alone? Cause I did have ball bounciness at low. Also did it pop after getting the 3rd one or end game?

thanks for the solution. tried yesterday - with 2 controllers and worked in first try. The trickiest part is getting a assist. You know if you done it correctly, when your teammate scores, then you see on your side written "Assist". Otherwise achievement won't pop. I put both cars on the same team few meters from the opposing goal, with first car (main profile for achievement), roll the ball towards goal, and IMMEDIATELY take 2nd controller and just score a goal, within 2 or 3 seconds after first touch with 1st controller. That's how it worked ASSIST for me. Getting goal and save a goal is no big deal. For "save a goal" just put 2nd controller on the opposing team and kick the ball towards goal, then save it with the 1st controller. That's it.

SOLO METHOD, ONE CONTROLLER:

• Exhibition Match
• Game Mode/Arena: ANY
• Team Size: 3v3 recommended (anything other than 1v1 will work)
• Bot Difficulty: ALL-STAR
• Match Length: 10/20/UNLIMITED
• Max Score: UNLIMITED

The key here is playing against All-Star bots. 3v3 worked best for me; there's more action than 2v2 but it's not as chaotic as 4v4. You can set the timer to 20 minutes or Unlimited if you're feeling less confident, but I set it to 10 minutes and popped the achievement with 6:44 remaining on the clock.

The easier parts of the trifecta are the Goal and the Save. You'll have plenty of save opportunities with the All-Star bots doing their thing when you just stay at your goal. The trickiest part of the trifecta is the Assist, but again, your All-Star teammates are pretty good. So make setup shots along the side wall so that the ball curves around the corner and centers itself in front of the goal. Hang back between your own goal and the midline, ready to serve up another setup shot, so that your teammates stay on the offensive. Keep serving 'em up and you will eventually get lucky! The achievement will pop during the match immediately after you succeed.

The time window for an assist is relatively narrow. Without a published spec, an educated guess is that you have about 5 seconds between when you hit the ball and when your teammate hits it. (I'd wager the game considers the teammate's hit as the bookend of the assist, instead of the moment the goal occurs, as this would allow for an assisted long-shot goal.)

This can be done with 2 players total. Here is the easiest way to get it done:

  1. Put Player 1 (you) and Player 2 on the same team.
  2. Have Player 1 hit the ball and have Player 2 score (This gives you an assist).
  3. Next, just have Player 1 score a goal (Now you have a goal and an assist).
  4. Pause the game with Player 2 and put them on the opposite team.
  5. Have Player 2 hit the ball towards your net and Player 1 blocks their shot (Giving you a save). The save must be done close to your net or else it won't register.
  6. Trophy Unlocked!

Note that you can also hold in-game to check to see if a save/assist counted.

You might get this trophy naturally through play but, if not, it’s easy to engineer.

Set up a 2v2 exhibition with no bots and use a second controller. Set goal limit to 2. Save the goal first by the second controller hitting the ball into you on your goal line.

Switch teams so you’re both on the same side. Score a goal with nobody there to stop you.

The assist is only slightly more difficult as you need to have hit the ball right before your teammate does for it to count. You can park the other car next to the goal line and hit the ball into them so it goes in after. Will count as assist and will come up saying so, along with your trophy.

Start an Exhibition match of 2v2 with a friend or second controller against no bots. Score a goal. Hit the ball and then score with the second controller. Then switch teams with the second controller and hit the ball towards the goal and "save" it with the first controller.

2 gamepads, or a friend (you can use Sherplay) and a game without bots. Assist - a friend touches the sword in the center of the field, then you push him towards the goal and he scores (for some reason, if you push from the center, the assist does not count), save - just one goes for the other team and shoots for you, and you save from the goal, well, a goal - you score a goal. Profit.

Instead of a second gamepad, you can use Vit.

Don't forget to bet 2 on 2 so you can change teams.

I did it with bots 3 on 3, professionals. Game time is 20 minutes to be sure. First he scored, then he stood in goal and made a save. The most difficult thing was to make an assist, because the bots couldn’t make it. The trophy is given as soon as you fulfill these 3 conditions; it is not necessary to finish the match.
