How to unlock the The Things I've Seen achievement in Rocket Riot - Definitive Guide

If you play through all 80 levels of the campaign and 50 levels in endurance mode for the other achievements, you should encounter every character. However, you must kill them at least once to unlock them. Once killed, red letters saying "Unlocked" appear over their pixelated gibs. It appears to be 144 characters total, but hard to tell the exact number.

Here is the general location of enemies by group in the campaign:
Pirates - Levels 1-10
Robots - Levels 21-30
Zombies - Levels 31-40
Soldiers - Levels 61-70

NOTE: This can also be boosted with a friend over XBox Live who has all characters unlocked by having them play as the character(s) you are missing. Just create a quick Deathmatch private session and kill them once to unlock. (As Biolegendary's solution states, use their location and the names of who they are next to to help your boosting partner find them to select the ones you are missing).

It is a self-explanatory achievement, but things can be missed. i did only post this since the others were not so good.

Upvoted purely because it's the most decent "solution" of the three for this achievement (although the other two are total jokes).

If you're missing one, it's probably the pirate between Ken and Don, named John. He can be found in the level "That's No Cannonball".

I beat the campaign first, then did endurance mode. This unlocked for me around wave 16.

I am pretty sure this achievement will unlock when you kill the last enemy type that appears on the last single player campaign level (80). That is when I got the achievement, although I did complete Endurance mode before Campaign. Still, I am almost positive you will get this at level 80 since campaign has way more varieties of enemies than endurance. If you kill characters in multiplayer, you WILL unlock that character and it will count towards the "The Things I've Seen" achievement. Therefore, you can see what characters you are missing and have a friend who has all of them choose that character in multiplayer. Then kill that character to add him/her to your roster.

There are a total of 251 different types of enemies in Rocket Riot. You must shoot all of them at least once. You can check your progress in the Choose Character screen in the game, because each time you shoot an enemy you unlock them for use in the game.

You need to kill all 197 unique enemies in the game to unlock this achievement. When you kill an enemy for the first time, "Unlocked" will pop up in red, meaning you can now use him as your own character. You can check which characters you are missing from the Main Menu under "Pick Character." You are missing any characters that appear as silhouettes. Use the video below to get an idea what your missing characters look like. The in-forum video gets cut-off on the sides a bit. Proceed to YouTube to see all the characters.

You need to play entirely through the normal campaign and the Samuriot campaign to encounter all the enemies to unlock them. Some of the characters are the developers and those can only be killed in the credits. You also may want to play through some of the Lost Levels campaign to find enemies that just don't want to spawn in the regular campaign. If you are having trouble finding a particular character, see/post-in THIS thread for help. Some tips:

  • Make sure to kill ample amount of enemies in levels that are not deathmatch. If you focus too much on completing the objectives, you will likely miss unlocking some of the enemies.
  • Many characters are only available on specific levels. Level 44 in particular has many characters that are only available on that level. Make sure to replay it a few times if you are missing characters
  • You can figure out what levels you need to replay by looking at the types of characters next to the silhouetted character you are missing.
  • At the beginning of deathmatch levels, a picture of each unique character that spawns in that level is shown.
  • From my experience and a few others folks, one particular robot only spawns in Level 12 of the Lost Levels.

Alternatively, after completing the campaign to defeat Blockbeard and unlock the related achievement, you can go to the Pick Character menu and choose Unlock All Characters. By paying $0.99, you will automatically unlock all characters and this achievement. This allows you to skip playing through the Samuriot campaign entirely, as well as the Lost Levels and any level replays to hunt down characters.
