The nuke won't hurt you when it goes off. The "without taking damage" part means that you can't take damage from anything else. Either avoid the bots, or play against another controller and wait for the timer to run out.

In Deathmatch there is a chance for a Nuke powerup to drop (it has the expected biohazard symbol on it). When it does, grab it with any player and then just fly that player around avoiding the sun until the 10 seconds runs out and it detonates. As long as you don't take any damage this achievement will unlock.
