You can idle boost this achievement if you don't feel like playing this mode for 25 hours. To do so, start any song, press B once the song starts to enter riff repeater. Set the repetitions to infinite, then start riff repeater.
*Note* you will need a wired controller to stop the controller from cutting off after 15 minutes.
edit: Many people have pointed out that this seems to be glitched. It will eventually unlock so be persistent. The longest I have heard of is 50 hours.

probably glitched, i played well over 25 hours, even got the "play 24 hours" badge on uplay, and no achievement...

Hmm. I didn't keep track as it was the last achievement I went for. The 214 and 500 mission achievements were off a bit so the counters may not be accurate.

Yeah same, this worked in the xbox360 version but hasn't unlocked for me this time. I also got the uplay award :( Could be a bug with the riff repeater mode. I'll keep playing seeing if it unlocks through normal playing.

i was shooting for #1 spot so I kept idle boosting. only took me 3-5 hours over time to get it. did not see it pop. had to snap the achievement app to find out.

Next step is to let the songs play out and restart hitting A not using the riff repeater in case that is bugging it out.

i got mine during riff repeater. Keep in mind that it only counts time in Learn a Song mode or riff repeater. so nonstop play and session mode do not count.

I used riff repeater for another 15 or so hours and they both popped this morning thankfully. That would have been close to 40-50 hours all up, but at least it finally unlocked. So for anyone who doesnt have it, keep trying.

yeah, i always try to play the songs i haven't played yet. Tried on lead, rhythm and bass as well on all sorts of tuning, tried deleting my save and starting over also but no achievement

Unlocked for me after playing riff repeater for one section on rhythm & quitting the song after the first repeat. Maybe try riff repeater (on a path you usually don't play) @ 100% difficulty a few times. For 1 section of the song, not the whole song. Mess up & then when it repeats - quit the song.

thanks for the help dude, I tried it but it didn't work unfortunately. I also tried deleting the game and re instaling it, but also no luck. Even playing out of riff repeater I have way beyond the 25 hours requirements, am I the only one who has this achievement glitched still?

I'm using a digital copy, I don't think I did a proper hard reset (holding the power button) but I've disconnected the power cable.

So, FYI, they released an update today that is supposed to fix this achievement, but it didn't unlock as soon as I started the game, so, 25 hours again?

It finally unlocked last night. It says I've spent 44 hours playing this game, so that means at least 40 hours were in Learn a Song mode. The only thing new I did was buy some DLC and it popped after I played a couple new songs, otherwise I was just working on the 500 missions.
