For this achievement you have to hit all 29 techniques while in songs.
Go to Learn a Song and pick any song, scroll down and select "Technique Guide".
The Technique Guide is a very important tool that is the key for getting this achievement. There is a Technique Guide for every individual song.
It allows you to see:
- Which techniques are featured in every individual song
- Which techniques you have personally encountered in every individual song
- A detailed explanation of every technique
While in the Technique Guide you can press RB to switch between seeing:
- The techniques you have personally encountered in the selected song
- All of the techniques featured in the selected song
- Technique guide, which gives a detailed explanation of all the techniques in the game.
While going for this achievement what you want to do is keep a checklist of all the techniques, and look through all the songs to see which ones you have and which songs feature the techniques you still need.
Chances are, most of these techniques you already have unlocked just by playing the game naturally.
However, for the few rare ones, you might want to search through the Technique Guide to find out which song it is located in.
Some techniques only appear on specific difficulties. You can set songs to full mastery by going into the Riff Repeater, setting the difficulty to 100% for all sections, then choose Resume Song.
Some Tips:
- Note what Mastery you are on before you change to 100%, this way you can change back to the correct Mastery when you are done.
- Play the songs in riff repeater at Difficulty 100% - Speed 1. This will allow you to be able to see the exact section the desired technique is in.
- Practice the technique in riff repeater, when you find it. This way you can ensure that you are successfully hitting it when you play it in the song.
- Only focus on hitting the required technique you are in search of, nothing else. Ignoring all the other notes in a song will make it a lot easier.
- Play the game normally for awhile, 95% of these techniques will come just by playing, even at a novice level.
Notes:
- Playing through all the lessons might unlock this, I don't know if the lessons count towards this achievement, but every technique is featured throughout the lessons.
- I'm not 100% sure you actually have to successfully hit the techniques, simply just encountering them might be enough for the achievement.

This list is sorted in terms of my musical taste.
These were the first songs I just happened to have played when I started.
What this means is there may be easier songs that feature the given techniques.
On many of these songs I have less than 50% Mastery.
However, playing on 100% Mastery can ensure you get the desired technique.
