How to unlock the Note Track achievement in Rocksmith 2014 Edition - Definitive Guide
This minigame is one of the more difficult ones in the game I guess.
The strategy is similar to most other minigames in Rocksmith 2014: Level up first and don't worry about scores.
You will level up if you complete objectives for the particular games, such as jumping over x hurdles in a row, swapping lanes perfectly x times in a game, spending x seconds in the air etc. Most of them are easily doable and cummulative - you earn them over multiple attempts. Only a few objectives ask you to do something within one game, and they aren't that difficult.
Important tips:
- You don't need to tremolo very fast, actually.... just learn how to maintain a steady rhythm.
- The most difficult (and important) skill here is muting the strings to make the runner jump. Be careful that when you mute the strings with your fretboard hand, the string doesn't play a harmonic.... on certain frets the string will still make a sound even though you mute it. This was one of the most frequent cases when the game didn't do exactly what I wanted it to do. It was very frustrating.
- Collecting batteries is important, helps you get away from the crusher. Just slow down a little so you get under the battery bot and maintain your speed. When you collect a battery, tremolo away.
- The key to a 10 million + score is leveling up to level 10 preferably, then within a game building your score multiplier - jumping over hurdles and swapping lanes perfectly. YOu will then get up to 500 K points per hurdle or per gold bolt collected, therefore getting 10 mil + will not be such a problem. If you're not sure you can collect a gold bolt AND still make it over a hurdle, don't even try. YOu can miss bolts, but crashing into a hurdle will slow you down AND cause you to lose your multiplier.
- You can get this achievement for playing it either on BASS PATH or LEAD/RHYTHM GUITAR PATH. Doesn't matter which one you choose. On bass you only get 4 lanes, though.
I hope this will help someone.

Something to try if you're a guitar novice like I am and have difficulties getting a consistent rhythm.
1) Use a thin pick
2) Hit the strings using one of the two more rounded edges of the pick instead of the tip
I was able to get it fairly easily after switching my pick out

Keep leveling up within the minigame to earn score multipliers. If you are having trouble string swapping, you can use emulated bass and play with only four strings. Although learning how to string swap will come in handy when playing the rest of the game
