How to unlock the The Lost Arch achievement in Rocksmith 2014 Edition - Definitive Guide
So like all the technique games, the level multiplier is your friend, build it up by completing objectives before worrying too much about score. I was at level 6 when beat the 10m mark, i.e. my scores were 6x what they would have been at level 1, but you can level up to 10 for 10x. There are normally missions based on levelling up technique games as well, so I flick between them to get as many missions towards the mission achievements.
For this one, I didn't bother actually bending a single note; it's way too slow and inaccurate! I played purely hammer-ons, and it works a charm. You need to be fairly quick, and accurate, as your combo resets if you over-bend. Watch timing as well; if you are too fast and play the next bend too soon, the game can sometimes think you over-bent the previous one. You can pre-bend a few in advance though, so if you do over-bend, play the next few in sequence while you wait.

I tried the hammer on method and it worked fairly well, but sometimes the game didn't register it. So what I did was I did the hammer on then did a very slight bend, and managed to get 10m with the minigame only being at level 4. So if anyone else has trouble with the hammer ons registering, try that.

I finally got this after weeks of trying by using emulated bass and a whammy bar (tremolo arm). With perfect tuning, I just had to play the note below the one I was supposed to play, and lift the bar until it triggered. The red string sometimes had to play 2 notes down, but once you find the root note, the rest of the notes you can do pretty much by feel and seeing when the vines start to grow. I was routinely 4 vines ahead, and it made switching gems so much easier. When bending or using the hammer-on method, a lot of times the gems wouldn't trigger, but with this, it was instantaneous, and I got a 10x combo (in addition to the 10x multiplier from being level 10). Got it on my 4th try.
