How to unlock the Who Needs a Dog? achievement in Rocksmith 2014 - Definitive Guide
In most of the Guitarcade games, you always have three active missions and every fifth mission you complete will increase your overall combo in the game. You should not attempt to score 10,000,000 without increasing your combo to at least x5 and if you keep failing, focus on the missions to increase your overall combo instead of retrying. Most games also have additional combos. They are tied to each individual run and are often increased when changing strings and by getting consecutive successes.

For this game you will have to hit the ducks as they move on a specific fret on a specific string. Every now and then a rainbow-duck will appear. It will move from fret to fret, but isn’t too hard to shoot down. When you shoot it, you will gain more time, a combo and you will now be playing on a different string. You also get more points for each consecutive duck you shoot without failing.
You shouldn't attempt this until you have a "mission-combo" of x4. It won’t really help to play bass in this game as you only play at one string at the time and you have more than enough time to place your finger at the next string after shooting a rainbow-duck. The trick in this game is to maintain your combo and focus on hitting the rainbow duck as soon as possible. If you miss every 5 or 6 ducks your combo will reset and you won't stand a chance at scoring 10,000,000, but keeping the combo from the beginning can make each duck being worth one million points alone before it gets really difficult.
- Start completing challenges to level up as early as possible.
- Play for long sessions (at least 30 minutes) to get used to it and understand how to play.
- Hold on and don't break the combo.
- Look at the frets in advance and play them right away, the next duck is highlighted on the fret.
- Watch out for the colored duck as it changes strings! The main thing is not to miss the combo and quickly get into the fret on which the colored duck is located. Patience and vision!
- After each attack, mute the strings.
- It's easier on the bass guitar.
