How to unlock the Furious Plucker achievement in Rocksmith - Definitive Guide
On the guitar i got around 1 million but on my first bass attempt i got around 17 million.
Sit down with your guitar while watching TV and just alternate pick the E cord (red string). Start slow hitting the cord up and down. Speed up as you get better. When your arm starts to hurt, take a 10-20 second break and start right back up again. Do this at least a few times then you can take longer breaks. Once you feel comfortable with the E cord start moving up and down the strings alternate picking each one for a few seconds before moving on. When you get to the point your arm doesn't hurt any longer, your good to play the arcade version.
I did this for one afternoon and a morning on a weekend. I didn't practice for this game mode though, I did it cause I wanted to get better. At the time of practicing, I didn't know this arcade/achievement even existed. You might need the same mentality I had when going into this. Don't think of the achievement, just try to get better. After all, that is what this game is about right?
I hope this will help some of you out! Goodluck!
-Keep your controller handy to quickly pause the game if you arm starts cramping up.
-Don't stop strumming when the highlighted string changes. You may not move as fast, but at least you are still moving.
-Use your fretting hand to mute all of the other strings not being played.
Good luck.
Any additions, suggestions, or criticism is appreciated.
This is a game based on tremelos and it heavily depends on your wrist action. You must be quick without much movement. Because of this, there aren't really any tricks; only with practice can you actually master the tremelo and this game.
This game is simply testing how fast you can perform a tremolo. Consult the in game Tremolo Challenge to learn how to properly perform a tremolo. The faster you perform the technique, the faster your ostrich will run. You perform this on the highlighted string which moves from string to string. If you fail to switch strings you will hit obstacles and it will prevent you from reaching time bonuses. This is a workout so feel free to pause as often as you need to rest your picking hand.
- it is important to hold the pick correctly;
- take advantage of the pause when your hand gets tired to take a break;
- don't stop when the string changes. Let the ostrich not immediately change lanes to the desired lane, but it will run, and the points will go accordingly;
- mute all strings that should not be played if you have problems hitting the right string.
Plus - only 4 strings, instead of 6.
I took the trophy the first time I played the bass.
