How to unlock the Rocksmith achievement in Rocksmith - Definitive Guide

The way to get leveled up to 11 pretty fast is playing Master Events.

Practice makes perfect and you need at least 4 songs mastered (100k score plus 100% in riff leveler) to play a master setlist so get practicing :)

Easiest for me were:

Go With The Flow by Queens of the Stone Age (Combo)
Breed by Nirvana (Combo)
In Bloom by Nirvana (Combo)
Outshined by Soundgarden (Combo)
Song 2 by Blur (Combo)
Satisfaction by Rolling Stones (Chord)
Run Back To Your Side by Eric Clapton (Chord)

Single notes may be easier but I prefer to learn the actual song over strumming single notes. Make sure you practice these songs and it will come in time :)

Note - It takes 20 million points to get Rank 11.

Playing a 4 song master set with a 2 song encore would average me between 1 and 1.2 million.

My Master setlist is:

Go With The Flow
Next Girl
That song before GWTF with tons of tremolo :)
All The Small things (DLC)

Thanks for the guide, just want to let you know a little error, you have Go With the Flow by Queens of the Stone Age as the first song, and then Go With the Flow that you credited Nirvana for as your third song. I believe the song you meant to put is In Bloom by Nirvana.

Whilst it might not be as quick as Master sets, I found another effective way was to edit the songs to variations of songs you haven't attempted. This way the rocksmith points quickly tot up from practising rather than like the 1000 you may get extra from a practice of an older song.

You can unlock the rank achievements as you rank up playing bass too. I got 8 and 9 that way so presumably 11 is possible too. Will confirm when i get there.

He is right though, I unlocked the rank 6 achievement with the bass.

Thank you Saint Harry, my friend plays bass and he's rank 10 at the moment, I would be pissed if he got both the achievements for playing bass only and I had to start a new bass career just to get Rumblesmith lol

Would it be possible for you to add a list of points necessary for every level? It's kind of a pain to click on each individual achievement. Thanks.

If you don't mind the monotony, you can double or triple up on different arrangements of any easy song in your set lists. I generally include both arrangements of "Roxanne" and "Song 2" in all of my events.

I hit Rank 11 on bass quite a while ago. I can confirm that you will only unlock the Rumblesmith achievement when you do. You have to be using a guitar to unlock this achievement.

This guide really applies for all rank achievements. Basically, master about 8 easy songs (Song 2, Slow Hands, etc) and just play Master Events with those 8 songs. Even if you don't do great, you'll get a ton of Rocksmith Points, which means you'll rank up faster with less time spent than if you played events with non-master mode songs.

I have several songs mastered but I'm not aware if you can create a custom event with your own setlist. Is there a way to do that?

Yes, there is: on the journey menu, go left and select "Event Manager", then you can edit the setlist of any event available.

For anyone interested, you need to get to 20M RSP for Rank 11.

I don't know why this solution got so heavily voted down; it's pretty much the best strategy for quickly ranking up.

Mastering songs is one option, but for me I found a better way. If you choose songs (or arrangements of songs) you haven't played yet, the score you get from rehearsing counts completely to your career score. It occured to me that the more you've played a song before, the fewer points you get (for rehearsing)

This will require 20,000,000 Rocksmith Points. The best way to earn RSP's is by playing events. The fastest way to reach rank 11 is to master four song arrangements and play in Master Events. Replaying these same four songs in every event will score you between 800-1.2 million RSP's.

At each event, you can customize your set list and remove and add songs. The minimum number of songs is 4. If you add songs you have mastered, you usually do not have to re-qualify for them.

You need to accumulate 20,000,000 RSP.

Tips for gaining RSP:

  • Master events are the quickest (though hardest) way to gain RSP. By doing a four song setlist on master, 1,000,000 is very do-able.
  • Rehearsing songs before you play them nets you a nice amount of RSP
  • The more you play songs, the less RSP you get from playing them again. Try to freshen it up a bit with a constant rotation of songs and you shouldn't feel the effects of this.

This will take some time, but it will also help you develop your skill significantly.

The main characteristic of your progress in the game is RSP points (RockSmith Points). Points are earned by singing songs, completing events, completing technical lessons, and playing arcade games.

To get level 11 you need to collect 20,000,000 RSP

To significantly increase the points you receive, you must complete Master Events. For them, you need to train a few simple (or just your favorite) songs and play them constantly (in addition, 4 tracks will need to be played for the Stage Ready trophy). For example, simple ones:

  • Go With The Flow by Queens of the Stone Age (Combo)
  • Breed by Nirvana (Combo)
  • Outshined by Soundgarden (Combo)
  • Song 2 by Blur (Combo)
  • Satisfaction by Rolling Stones (Chord)
  • Run Back To Your Side by Eric Clapton (Chord)
When performing four tracks with two encores (encore and double encore), you can gain about 1 million RSP at a time. Playing in Single Note mode can often be easier, but in my opinion it is not as interesting.

For the RSP set, I also recommend master mods of the songs Best Cost - When I'm With You and Evanescense - Bring Me To Life (DLC for 100 rubles). In addition, to accelerate platinum, you need to include a minimum of songs in a concert, no more than 3 - 4 (!). Since to get all the guitars you need to play 40+ concerts, and with a minimum number of songs in the master event, RSP at level 11 is enough to top your ears.
