Super simple achievement.
When you're in the game, press the Menu button, click on House Rules, then toggle the Enable House Rules setting to "On" and it should pop right away.
You can just turn the rules right back off after getting it if you'd like, but having House Rules enabled does not disable achievements.

I just got the achievement for the first boss with house rules activated.
