To reach this boss you need to get to stage 3!
The explosive crossbow makes light work of Rufus taking the dog out with a few hits! I kept moving round the area shooting Rufus repeatedly dodging the minions.
There might be weapons that work better but I definitely recommend the explosive crossbow!

You need to reach level 3-1 to fight this boss. Just run around and keep attacking. There will be other minions that spawn in, so watch out for them too. The boss fight is shown at 9:52 in the video.
