To reach this boss you need to get to stage 6!
As soon as I spawned I moved into the left hand corner and started spamming the Plant with an explosive crossbow, it worked that well I pretty much avoided the phase where it shoots projectiles at you, it only shot one before I killed it.
There might be other weapons that work better but I definitely recommend the explosive crossbow!

Got to 5-1 3 times now. And it keeps glitching an enemy behind a wall so i cant kill it. Anyone else having this problem?

Top left corner works! Also can use the Smart rocket launcher! Kills it extremly fast!

You need to reach level 6-1 to fight this boss.
Easiest way to kill this boss is to have a ranged weapon like crossbow or sniper, go to one of the corners and attack the center. If an explosive drops where you are, go to a different corner and repeat. If it drops somewhere else, just stay and keep attacking. Depending on char/weapon combo, you should be able to kill it within 1-3 explosive drops max.
The boss fight is shown at 19:08 in the video.

Just wanted to add an even quicker way to kill the bosses is to have the Plasma Laser equipped as your second weapon and Regular shotgun as your primary while using the purple cube character as Sang uses in the guide. I pretty much one shot the bosses with the Plasma Laser and used it the majority of the time in level 5.
