How to unlock the With The Breeze achievement in Rugby 15 - Definitive Guide
For the kick it self. No wind helps but I've done a few of these kicks now and I don't even bother adjusting the angle, but what you do need is as close to full power as possible.
At full power it's almost a gimmy.
Good luck
A conversion is a kick after you've scored a try (similar to the PAT after a touchdown in football). What's different from football is that your ball is placed depending on where you've scored your try. With this in mind, you'll want to score (click & ) when in between the posts in the "endzone". This way your kick is straight on and not at an angle.
You can edit rosters in this game, so you'll need to make sure your kicker is at 99 to ensure enough power. I personally struggled with distance even at 99 so I set moderate wind and waited to try until I was kicking with the wind.
When setting up the ball, you move it further from the goal and the distance will be displayed on the screen to make sure it's exactly 55 meters. You have to play at least 10 games for one achievement, so keep trying every game until you get it.
After you score a try, do your kick from 55 meters out. In the top right of the screen as you are placing the ball, there is a distance meter to help with your placement. You will want to use your edited team with super stats and adjusting the wind helps a ton too. In the game options, put on moderate wind and just quit/restart the game until you get a decent tail wind behind you. I used moderate because I put it on the highest wind settings and had to restart seven times because the wind was always blowing right to left. I couldn't get the wind straight on, but on Moderate I was.
It doesn't matter if you start out with the wind against you, because you can do the kicks in the second half. Just make sure the wind is going straight and not to the right or left. Putting the ball down right between the goal posts during your try will help a ton and of course, as well as keeping the control stick straight during your kick! It took me a few tries. The kicking mechanics are very sensitive.
